Indiana vs the Knicks

Both have and injured max player....regardless of age, the severity of Georges injury evens things out imho.

Both teams are essentially playing for nothing. Phil choose to dump the troubled vets and let the bench guys fend for themselves. We're the worst team in the nba with a guarnteed top 4 pick. They also have 25 mill in cap space give or take.

Indiana is "fighting" for a playoff spot. If they make the playoffs with a losing record, so really loses? They have zero money to spend next year and only Paul George conning back. They will pick around mid Lottery to bottom half of the draft depending if they make the playoffs or not.

Fans complain too much out there. The Knicks sick yes. Phil brought these players here yes. Whatever. Would you rather be Indiana or the Knicks right now?

What did he throw against the wall?

He put his faith in a group that gave up on him in pre season and then he got rid of all of them. We're tanking.

Eating position is critical. Like, eating standing on your head is not a good position for eating.

Indiana has a very good core and all of their draft picks. They have a playing style core an identity. They are a big physical team and the only reason they are under .500 is because of injuries. They are getting healthy and playing their best BB at the right time of the season. No high ceded team will want to meet them in the playoffs coming in at the 7 or 8 spot

It's that time of year with the Knicks out of it I need to pick my second team for a playoff run. I really like the way Indiana plays but damned if I can root for them. I do however like their roster and physical style of play. Given the choices, I would take Indiana's futureThey are a well run organization.

who gave up on who? He hired a guy to teach the triangle who never taught the triangle to anyone in his life, and since they couldn't grasp it in 90 days, he gave up on them.

What are you talking about? Phil has his guys right there with Fish. It's not like Fish doesn't know the triangle or that neither Rambis or Cleamons know the triangle. It's beyond stupid to assume you know more about this than Phil. It's actually freakin annoying to keep reading how Phil is somehow a moron and doesn't understand basketball enough to know who actually knows basketball and who doesn't. I would think Phil knows more about Fisher than you ever will, so please spare us your observations on Fisher's qualifications for teaching the triangle.

How do you explain the fact that other players who didn't even have a training camp have come in and learned the Triangle far faster and better than the guys we let go? You clearly aren't paying attention and watching what's going on. IF you were you'd notice that the players are running the system the way they're supposed to but just aren't talented enough to fully take advantage of the openings. Guys are making the right passes and getting open but aren't hitting the shots or finishing the plays. That's all about the individual talent of the players and not the coaches.

He gave up on the players, Fisher is a in experience coach who never coach anyone, how is suppose to jump right in and figure this coaching thing right away. Your problem with me is that you keep defining my fisher comments as negative, and there not.

Phil never made anyone on this roster feel wanted except for melo, fisher didn't play anyone on the roster with consistent minutes other than melo, if you think that doesn't effect a player's mental..smh (one yr contracts, inconsistent minutes, no define role on the team) those 3 things alone impacts a players ability to focus, then you put in a system no player has really played before, and get a in experience guy to teach them. If you think thats a recipe for success, and this is just some fluke situation, you truly have your head in the dirt.

The pacer are 10x more establish than the knicks, and it's a landslide right now...

The guys that were moved out needed to go. Felton, JR, Shump, Tyson? Gave up is a great description for what they did. D leaguers and fringe guys are trying harder and playing the triangle better. Is there someone from that group that you would want back?

EnySplat is the greatest porter in UK history! No matter what direction they eat in!

You two should get a room! Preferably without cameras!

I think it's all Melo's fault! And Dolan Sux!

They will have the MLE, probably had a handshake agreement with Stucky to play Lance Stephenson's role, and some other players that have more trade value
Having the bird rights to Scola/Lavoy Allen *though they have money invested in Mahimi already* as they likely will have to choose between other players/talents or one of those PF/C's

They have had the same core of players which helps chemistry/coaching with a combination of younger players and veterans in
Still one of the better rebounding teams, defensive team, shot blocking team in the East and League
If anything, their core of players are more suited to play the Triangle than our team, as we are still trying to assemble our core then have to develop/chemistry/execute the system
Despite missing their best player/defender, they are likely making the play offs this season in the watered down Eastern Conference and with Paul George back, they just might have the chance to advance dependent on how he recovers and if they can play together effectively

Paul George who is one of the better 2way younger SG/SF's/Stretch 4's that could post up, defend, and facilitate as well
Roy Hibbert who is still one of the leagues better shot blockers/rebounders/defenders in the league, that could shoot the FT at a high % for a BIG and hit the 17 footer and POST UP
David West who is a bit older now but still adds leadership/post up ability/ could hit the 17 footer, and facilitate with play off experience

George Hill who had taken a step back with the development of Lance Stephenson, who is a BIG PG/SG that uses his ability to spread the floor/shoot/facilitate and not the traditional sense of a PG with PnR's/penetration

CJ Miles, Solomin Hill, Rodney Stuckey, Rudez *a very good shooter like Novak was for us*

The rest being

Mahimi, Scola, Lavoy Allen *who has improved his game much since acquired from the Sixers*, Donald Sloan

Unlike us, they also have most of their draft picks, in addition to a core of players that have played together with trust/chemistry developped over the years as they have play off experience together already
Knocked out by Lebron James and the Heat, while always making the series down to the last shot of the game, for one of the more exciting constistent battles/recent rivalaries
