Option 1 - You rather have Gasol(max)and say Reggie Jackson($8m)?

Option 2 - OK4/Towns, Butler/Leonard(max) Lopez(near max)/Biyombo?

I go with Option 2 OK4+

Rather spend on youth.

Also do you still draft a big if you sign Gasol?

Why would we not have OK4 and Gasol and Reggie Jackson?

I would quite like Dragic, Wes Mathews, Robin Lopez, Melo and OK4, and then target someone else in 2016.

Yea I meant to add him.

Also you can sign Lin if Galloway/Larkin don't pan out

You can make it Butler/Leonard/Matthews. Maybe you can squeeze Dragic in there although we should not invest big money on ball dominant PG's

Although Leonard would force Melo to PF which I'm against

I see Lin as a discount version of Dragic- even Lin has said in the past he thought they had very similar games. I like Mathews, just because after all the style over substance, streaky SGs we've had over the years, I just want an average, consistent two way player at that position.

I like Leonard a lot but I'm not sure he's a good fit for NY- he seems to hate being interviewed and shuns media attention. I just don't see him leaving the Spurs at all- they're a smart organisation! Butler I would also love, but again I don't see the Bulls letting him walk. They are very tight with money, but it would be madness (especially as Rose is a shadow of his former self. They'll realise the cap and luxury tax threshold are going up after this year, and so I think they'll be fine being a tax payer for one year.

I guess the other player you haven't mentioned is Tobias Harris- I've never really paid attention to him so can't really comment on him.

Dragic, Millsap, Harris, Monroe, R Lopez, and Matthews are the most likely and most realistic targets. I would love to get 2 of them.

I like the idea of a Beverley/Matthews backcourt. That way we get nice hard nosed defensive guards who can shoot the 3 ball FINALLY!!!! I'm so tired of defensive liabilities at all positions.

For this same reason Towns intrigues me and I think either the 1st or 2nd pick would both be great.

Beverly and Matthews would be the best defensive backcourt this team has had in decades. Beverly looks like he already has a lot of wear and tear, so I would keep his years short. Tobias Harris and Omar Asik would also look good in Knicks uniforms.

Very difficult to gauge.

With ATL playing so well. Why Milshap wouldn't want to stay there with Teague and Horford and get pay.

Gasol is off the table he is practically from Memphis having lived they as a high school kid. They are a good team and makes more sense to go to the Spurs if you're going to leave town.

Aldridge is with a team that is 27-8 and he has a dynamic running mate. But, playing in Portland he's not wildly known outside of basketball. If that's important to him the Lakers make more sense than the knicks with two lottery picks and kobe coming off the books and the team eventually becoming his franchise. They are a top organization, the knicks are one of the worst in the NBA so that's always something to keep an eye on.

But should be our top tarets below:

Point Guards
1. Goran Dragic
2. Brandon Knight

Shooting Guard
1. Aaron Affalo
2. Wes Matthews

Small Forwards
1. Paul Milshap
2. Tobias Harris
3. Wilson Chandler

Power Foward
1. Aldridge
2. David West
3. Ed Davis (shown flashes for hte lakers)

Centers
1. Gasol
2. Asik
3. Lopez

Yea that is the kind of guy we need to target. Can't tie all the money up on a offensive PG

Step 1 - We get what we Subbed So Hard for OK4

Step 2 - Upgrade Point guard position Brandon Knight [top free agent]

Step 3 - Trade Calderon for Thaddeus Young

Step 4 - K.J. McDaniels, Gerald Green, Afflalo in that order [guard free agent]

Step 5 - Brandon Wright[center free agent]

I used to want us to get Asik, but I am now wary of him- he seems to get benched at key moments in Pelicans games, he hasn't really been all that effective since that first season with the Rockets. He can hurt his team, unfortunately.

I think Asik is the same, it's just that New Orleans likes to go small. Anderson is one of their best offensive players, so they said swap him with Asik to spread the floor and make room for their perimeter guys.

Don't forget Danny Green. Amir Johnson as well. To be honest if you accept the goal is to sign 3 2nd or 3rd tear players, there is a lot to get excited about. The top tier players are unobtainable, I think.

Imagine Beverley and Butler! A shame Butler loves the Bulls so much.
