It's not who's the most intelligent or who played the game before, but who's opinion of the NBA game you respect the most.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I think on that list I might go with Kenny Smith, I also enjoy Jalen. I really like David Aldridge.

I wasn't a big fan of Shaq when he first started being an analyst, but these days I think I favor what he brings to the table

While I don't respect his opinion as much as the former players', I really like what Simmons brings to the table. He'll say what he thinks instead of sucking up to the players the way every other non-player does to the players. He promotes healthy debate and I think after he says something that annoys Magic or Jalen you get something meaningful

Wow kinda wish there was a "none of the above" option...
I'd have to go with Kenny out of all of them though. Ernie could possibly have a grasp of the game but he never really gets to give analysis with all of the other personalities on the panel.

I'm a big Bill Simmons fan and I loved his book The Book of Basketball. I also enjoy what Jalen Rose, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith bring to the table.

I like Webber the most though, followed by Greg Anthony (on the off chance he leaves the NCAA for NBA coverage)

He is a douche, that little guy SHOULD NOT be talking about players and offend people/franchise's moves/managment the way he does
He degrades/bashes players, Gm's, ownership etc, and he coming from a "analyst" that does not know how it feels like to step on the court or how it is like running a franchise really should be much more respectful about it

I would have to go with Kenny, to me he is the most logical, knows the roster/league/players *before rambling off like Barkley to prove his point*, looks at most things with different perspectives, is able to put his perspective and express his views, and even accept other's opinions much better unlike SHAQ *Ohhhh, STOP IT*

You're making a tone argument and not one based on his basketball acumen. I respect his opinions on players and ownership even if he can be tone deaf at times.

I havent seen much of ESPN's halftime show outside of when the Knicks were on EPSN but it seems like they dont have a lot of analysis. TNT doesnt have that much either but they give Charles, Kenny, and Shaq time for their breakdown whereas it seemed like EPSN gave Magic a lot of time to say what he wanted (and he takes a while to spit it out) and then one of Wilbon or Simmons can chime in quickly.

With the talking heads, I really like Greg Anthony. In that list, its a toss up with Kenny Smith and Jalen Rose.

I absolutely loved his "Book of Basketball" by Bill simmons. i just think on air hes HIGH...lol. I dont think hes going for tv but i enjoy reading his articles.

jalen and webber know the game and are fun to listen to but JET smith KNOWS the game and how to interject USEFUL opinions. He keeps it very simple from an X&O and player point of view.

i loved magic and shaq as players but theyre absolutely useless on tv

wilbon is the bob costas of this generation. i think he makes things too DEEP

barkley actually has some nice thoughts at times. he keeps it real whether u like him or not

overall
ESPN = more professional
TNT = barber shop talk...too much sillyness at times

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Sorry I should have said the NBA panelist on TNT and ESPN, Cowherd wasn't a panelist on NBA GAMES.

I don't think I asked who your favorite commentator or radio host.

I picked Magic because I like the way he makes up a game plan and sticks to it,whether what individual players need to do, or what the team must do.

Only 10 votes and over 217 views ? I guess nobody watches halftime shows or just choose not to take the poll..

i don't really listen to these guys,

to be honest, i automatically tune out everything they say because it's predictable stuff,

you see one sports show, you've seen them all,

when i watch a game on tv, i do it on mute or very low volume,

to my mind, these guys are just clutter, they take away from the game instead of adding to it,

good point "IronWill"...the half time stuff for the most part is obvious stuff. I do enjoy Breen's "Put its IN!"
