Here's what I think once March roles around...

Cut Kidd's minutes. I was in favor of having Kidd back up Felton but nothing he does anymore suggests that he is capable of running the point at 40.

Another thing. Losing JR in the offseason isn't the worst thing in the world. Shumpert at 100% with Kidd backing him up is more than adequate.

Draft a pg or an athletic rebounding freak similar to Farid

Tyson /Camby /Sheed /Amare
Amare /Sheed /Copeland/Novak
Melo /Novak /Copeland /Shump
Shump /Smith /Kidd
Felton /Prigs /Kidd

12man rotation. Keep guys fresh.
The best and healthiest 10 or 11 from here on out make the postseason rotation

Brewer!

Then Kidd. Jason plays better with limited minutes.

Then Priggie. Nothing personal.

Shump comes off the bench.

DNP:
White
Brewer
Kurt

By the way saw Sheed practiced today. Don't know if it was a full practice or limited. Think he will be back for London or MLK day

Shump is going to come off the bench for now but eventually he will start and Kidd might lose the most minutes which isn't a bad thing. Unless you want to see Kidd as back PG over Prigioni. Don't want to see Kidd at PG at all at his age

If Kidd starts then Prigs stays in the rotation as backup PG and Shump loses minutes which I don't see happening either. Woodson loves Shumpert and Kidd. I can see starting Kidd but then no minutes for both Shumpert and JR

I think whats the real concern is, when shump is fully healthy along with amare, who's getting crunch time minutes..Will you have felt & shump, Jr & kidd, felt & JR, Kidd & Shump, Felton & Kidd..so many ways to put that back court once there all healthy, if that ever happens..

White and Brewer. If Shump earns the minutes, then any of the above might also lose time. It would be great to cut back Kidd's minutes to try to preserve his body.

Brewer...this is a necessary imo. We expected him to be offensively challenged but, not this inept. His defense was supposed to make a difference and he's had some moments but, I'd rather see Shump at the offguard spot withe Kidd starting. Kidd is the better player to start but, his minutes have been too high and I don't think it makes sense for him to play more than 10minutes of the first quarter which, is pretty much what we've been seeing.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I agree. That's already 20 mpg there, which should be fine for at least the first few weeks of Shump's return.

Brewer might get waived as soon as Shump is back. Very disappointed in guys play figured he would fill a till but he's been terrible.

As far as losing minutes...nobody should be losing any minutes. Shump needs to be thrown into the fire. We need him to find his game. I would start him from day I've and continue to use JR Smith the way we have.

Kidd and priggy will have to hold it down till Felton comes back. When he does priggy will be in a suit.

When we are 100%...knicks should start: sheed, melo, Chandler, felton, shump....with jr, amare, kidd and Copeland of the bench....that is our champion ship squad fellas. I'm ready!

Gotta cut Kidd minutes for sure. He was brought here for one reason only, the postseason.

No, he was brought here to be a mentor for Lin.

Kidd can now be a mentor for Iman and Ray "Ugly Duckling" Felton.

With minutes it has go backwards, whose mins do not get cut ? That would be JR. Kidd is next, and his minutes will not be as much cut, as they would be custom tailored to things like back to backs, matchups, etc. Kidd still will be closing games out. Next is Priggs, his time will take a dip, but he will still be in the rotation. Now we are talking Brewer and he will finally slide to his preferred position, off the bench.

Things will get even more interesting once Felton comes back. Upon his return Priggs and Brewer will join White with DNPs. Priggs might find couple of minutes here and there , but we might have too many bodies in the backcourt. That's a great problem to have !

Serious. He was signed here before Lin was even an issue and all they talked about was how Kidd could show Lin the ropes and be a positive influence. It's stuff Kidd was quoted on too. Him being a playoff performer was secondary compared to this. Perhaps rightfully so or perhaps not. I personally loved signing Kidd for this reason. With that said, that's in the past so no need to discuss it.

No need to discuss yet you did? Anyway, Kidd came to win, mentoring was a sub topic.

I find it hard to believe we brought in Jason Kidd solely to Mister Miyagi Lin. Him playing with Tyson and Melo previously, and one last chance at a ring, as well as being close to his 7 figure Hampton's retirement home he just built are just tertiary reasons...nah it was just because of Jeremy Lin.
