16-20 years. I didn't start following sports until I was a little older. The 94 Finals run is when I began my Knicks, Giant, Mets fandom... At least the Giants have been worth it
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

I put 6-10 because that's when I became a diehard fan. Anything before that I was young and hardly remember.

I'm me. I wouldn't lie about thing like that.
Since '69 - '70. I was too young for Walt Bellamy. Wish I had seen his rookie season.

1971 season.

Nobody in my house was a basketball fan but I started watching games in 1971. Went to my first Knick and Net games that year. Watched Earl tear up Clyde in the playoffs and Baltimore went on to lose to the Bucks in the finals.

1972 Earl comes to NY but is injured a good part of the season. The chemistry had yet to gel with Clyde and Earl. 1973 was the first and only taste of that sweet championship. Went to about 10 games that year including a playoff game or two. It was good to be a kid, good to be a New Yorker and the best to be in the Garden that year! Pure magic!

The next year the crushing loss in the conf. finals to the resurgent Celtics with Dave Cowens. The Knicks losing bought real pain even though they only won 49 games. They were still the defending champs and if they could get over some injuries we thought they had a good chance. They had a brutal 7 series with the Bullets which sucked the life out of them before losing to the Celtics in 5 games. Willis, Lucas and Debusshere retired that year. They were our warriors who left after sound beat down but the youthful Celtics.

It felt just awful as a kid to see the magnificent team age out in defeat.

A small conciliation was 1974 had DR. J playing on long Island for his first season and Nets won there first of two ABA championships.

We still had Frazier and Monroe in the back court for 1975 and that was still great. With our bigs retired it bought in the Gianelli era, Mel Davis of St Johns, Howard POrter and Jessie Dark. In 1975 did see Nathanal Hawthorne Wingo avg 20 minutes a game, 5.5 rebounds and 7.4 pts! He'd be out of the league in two years. Team finished with 38 wins. The dark ages were upon us and the birth of the Starphuch era was dancing in Sonny Werblins head.

26-30 years. Grew up on the 80s Knicks which was the pure definition of mediocrity. Still I've supported them through thick and then and continue to do so today.

14-15 years. I was born into it as my whole fam were already Knicks fans but I didn't really understand what was going on until 98-99. I think that the was season before the lockout and the Knicks getting Spreewell. Adding Spree turned me into a rabid Knicks fan. Back then you couldn't tell me Spreewell wasn't as good as MJ

With that said I did get to see a lot of Ewing. My brother was constantly throwing in vcr tapes of old games and I'm not sure if it was NBA tv but there was a channel that only played classic bball games and our tv was always on that channel.

Interesting fact about myself, cause I know yall care: Tim Hardaway is my all time favorite player. Before I fell completely into the Knicks there was a tape I wore out called "rising stars" or something like that and Timmy blew my mind. I used to practice the killer crossover in front of my tv daily.

Funny, Hardaway was also my favorite player growing up aside from John Starks of course . I was also born into it, the room i was sharing growing up was filled with knicks stuff and a poster of Patrick Ewing blocking someones shot hard on the ceiling. Been a fan since the mid 80s

Let the Linsanity ensue!!!!!!

Since the late 80's, I would say around 23 years or so. I always followed the team but really got into it when I was around 12 years old.
