I'm going to say no. By year 2 he will be 39 1/2. Meanwhile we give up Shump who is 22 & possibly lose Lin who is 24. We become the worst defensive team in the league with Nash & Amare. Again the players don't match the coach. Might as well bring back Dantoni and maximize the team offensively. Is Woodson that desperate to hand the offense over to Nash. Is he even for this deal or is it Dolan at his finest again?

If we do get Nash I pray that Lin won't mind backing him up for 2-3yrs but the thought of losing both he and shump really stinks. Tyson is not going to be a happy camper

We can add Kidd, Camby and instantly be the oldest team in the league...

Well if he also helps Amare average 24+, helps Ty get easy baskets and keeps Melo happy, it might not matter.

Nash couldnt win in his prime with joe Johnson,Amare ,marion and a better bench so no he wont win us a championship. We might win a playoff round if we dont play Miami,Chicago,or Boston or Brooklyn with Howard

Exactly I've said that before. Nash and amare in their prime couldnt win nevermind at 40 and a broken down amare. No joe johnson & marion!

If shumpert score 20 ppg to go along with his great defense and he didnt get hrt all the time i would agree but shump has no offensive game and he gets hurt a lot

We are trading for a 40yr old. Can we for once not get hosed in a deal and give up just TD, jj3 & jorts

No offensive game? Shump was developing as a scorer toward the end of the season. To the point where it was gonna be scary to see him after a full summer of off season workouts. I don't think Shump is fragile either. You have to take into account that he played in a shortened season during his rookie year.

That's what I'm saying. Or if he can just come out and say he wants to play for NY maybe we can try and find a third team.

With the Melo trade everyone was saying the same thing for Melo if you have to give up chandler or gallo you have to do it. Melo was only 25 & in his prime star! Its the same vicious cycle if Dolan playing the fans.

How many knicks fans now wish we held onto one of the two gallo or wilson

Not only do we not get a ring, but we have another fire sale, clearing out every draft pick of the last 3 years. Getting old fast

He gets us at the door...then anything can happen

He gets us much closer than an injured shump

nobody locks those guys down, nor do they lock each other down.

Im not a fan of the trade but to simply say they did not do it in PHX then it won't happen here is not quite what is going on.

They ran into good laker and Spurs teams for one. And we might be the same running into good Miami and Chicago this time around.

I can live with it but I don't want to lose Lin.

Losing Lin, Lando and shump all at once would leave old, and older going forward with no picks.

The backbone of this team was the youth assets that were traded and if don't get a ring in the next two years we are possibly screwed for a few years after.

Does that matter anymore? Apparently not. Might say the same for Miami, Boston and Nets.

Who even cares about his offensive game? That's why we have Melo, Amare, and Lin. He's our only lockdown wing defender and one of the only ones in the entire NBA.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come
