I'd vote for TC too. We might get a biased sample here though!

Also playing injured almost all year, he's the heart and soul of this team.
Let the Linsanity ensue!!!!!!

I voted TC, Deng is the one who came close. He has to guard the most skilled players in the league.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

10 out 10 for TC. I doubt the actual voting will be unanimous though!

Really trying not to be a homer here, but Tyson Chandler IS a team's defense. The stats with him on defense are great, but those without him are really telling.

Likw Jeff Van Gundy's vote, mine goes to Ty!

Looking at that list made me realise that I haven't watched ANY non-Knick basketball games this season, due to the compressed schedule. I don't have a clue how any player is doing outside of the games we've played against them- is anyone else in the same boat?

Very little.

Have not even caught any "KNuggets" games at all!

But we can get everything we need to be fair and objective from "youTube" highlights!

Tyson deserves it i mean besides shumpert he is the main reason why we have been a better defensive team. i mean he already got snubbed from the all-star team. But they will probably give it to teh "stars" like lebron or dwight

This is one of those bear-trap polls... There will be a witch hunt for those who didn't pick Tyson Chandler.

IMHO, he gets it, hands down.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Ha- probably true! my first reaction on looking at the results was "Who voted Serge Ibaka?!"

Well, Serge Ibaka is averaging a full 1.5 bpg more than anyone else in the league. It's not absurd to vote for him.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

This poll/voting base is way too biased. It would be interesting to take Tyson out just to see some real opinions of who else was at the top.

TC has pretty much had his way head to head with the reigning DPOY DH, and more importantly, he has been the active ingredient in the K'Bockers defensive resurgence, along w/Iman and Woody's defensive philosophy.
I have a new name for my beloved Brickerbockers, the "Apple turnovers"

Of course we are biased, but only Dwight has as good a case, and he's been injured. No other player besides Dwight changes the quality of an entire team's defense like TC does for the Knicks. Really an incredible feat to turn us into a good defensive unit

Lebron James to me is hands down the best defensive player in the NBA. He can guard all 5 positions, can shut down MVP guards like D Rose when it counts and can completely take a team out of its offense.

He was great against Melo yesterday with fronting him and being extremely physical. I hope Melo can find a way to score on him in game 2.

I still LOVE TYSON but I think Lebron wins this (or should).
