Knick fans here have read hours of Pro MDA, and Negative MDA articles.

Simple question. Say your in charge of MDA's destiny and the media asks if you give him a vote of confidence.

Are you pro MDA or anti MDA?

simple question but with a small request. If you vote "No" you have to provide a suitable candidate to take his place. Not a current coach under contract.

27 votes
77.14%
Pro: MDA has had 3 roster remakes in 3 years and is a good coach
8 votes
22.86%
Negative: MDA is not a good coach and we should look for a replacement.

I'm giving him till the end of the season, as I voted in the preseason poll. Surely if he gets to the second round he stays.

Please, if you vote negative you have to name a new coach.

The man signed on to rebuild in this-his target year. Gotta give him at least that. Inconsistent roster leads to inconsistent results.

And this from a guy who wanted Avery instead of him a few years back.

I was all but really to dust off a in support of MDA thread for the next year and a half..The guy is an offensive genius...He has to teach Billups how to pick and roll...I still hate his defensive mentality...I thought we had defensive pieces b4 the trade and we still didn't play defense..Whats also maddening is the non-use of athletic talent like Corey Brewer who is now on the way out...It's just perplexing...

All that said, I think he deserves the rest of this year and next to get things right...I'm not sure who you can replace him with that gets the respect of both Melo and Stat...I think the rest of the year and the playoffs can tell us a little about MDA...

Brewer position we are strong at. Jeffries gives us somthing we don't have.

MDA in my view dares the other team to stop us rather than worry about them. They should worry about stopping an offensive juggernut.

We are not there now, but thats the vision. IMHO.

As long as winning more than losing most won't care.

Does it win championships? Its yet to be determined but lets the future is not the past and the next team that does it will be "fashionable" to do so. SAS going all out now.

Im sure we'd prefer a lakers type team with great bigs but you gotta get what you can get.

Give me dwight or paul next year and lets see what happens.

Lets just keep Isiah away first.

MDA is the best available coach imo. So I'm pro MDA. He's the chip man.

There are only so few perfect coaches. If he could just stop with the stubborness and evolve a bit defensively as well as with his rotations and choice of players, then he would be a great coach.

But his ego is getting in the way of him truly winning over every knick fan in the world. And despite all of that, he's still my first choice at status quo.

I want to see how the Knicks do in the playoffs and how good of a job D'Antoni does. Adjustments, substitutions etc.

If not him maybe Nate McMillan if he's available.

I want him to have this year and next. W/o Melo trade, I would have given him this year only and he was already showing progress, but now we just hit the reset button.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Bring JVG out of retirement. He made Houston and Spree looks like great running isos for them. If he makes this team play defense like his teams did, slow it down, and grind it out on offense with iso sets for Melo and Amare, we will win a title for sure. Just think about it how good those teams would have been if instead of Houston and Spree being supported by an aging and broken down Ewing and LJ they had the players we have now.

Just imagine Billups in place of Ward / Childs and Melo and Amare in place of Houston and Spree.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Well, if he is really willing to coach, then by all means bring him. Sloan, Pop and Skiles are probably the 3 coaches I would take over anybody else in the league.

Great coaches are usually pretty stubburn! The great ones are arrogant!

put a chip on MDA's trophy case and we'd get off of it!

I'm cool w MDA- He's not perfect but he's good-
I could see Phil Jax coming here after next year, since we have Stat and Melo- Where's the star****er icon?
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

Few starphuchs I'd go for, but Phil is a knick!

No, Tom Thidobeau (because that's who I wanted to hire 3 years ago)

Toms a good coach. Do you think a rookie head coach could have handled and been effective with Marbury? Zack? Crawford? We turned the team over 3 times now.

Thibs has taken a playoff team over. It was a hell of a gig for him to get but a good young coach taking over a playoff team and adding Boozer with a star in the maker Drose is a good situation.

Don't forget, MDA rejected Bulls (dumb) because he wanted to be in NY. I thought we like guys that want to be in NY?
