How would Dwight Howard go to the Lakers? They're in cap hell until Kobe's contract is done.

This is the lakers, ORL would trade DH for Fisher and bench warmers and Howard would takje a 50% pay cut.

Every year we wait to chase/get played by the new star FA is a year we lose on STAT's prime.

Howard is a great player, but for how we are built, it's better with STAT and Melo and a great PG. That group makes more sense than STAT and Howard. We need more of a Perkins type of C or hopefully Timo who can stay out of Amar'e way and be able to shoot a jumper too. That's why they like Timo and want to keep developing him.

I don't know that we have any chance at Howard. But I disagree about the fit. On offense I think Amare and Howard would be fine together. And Howard makes us a good defensive and rebounding team - which is our big weakness.

Bottom line. Stats knees aren't getting any younger. We dont have the luxury of a lot of time to hope a whole crop of young guys develop into really good players.

I agree as the likes of lebron,wade and others driving down the middle of the lane it is nice to have a person like howard to disrupt the shot.

Stop posting nonsense. We're not getting Dwight Howard. The reported deal is fair. We have enough prospects to do it for once. Our "upside" is not championship upside, so what's the point.

I hope this deal gets done so people can stop crying about losing players we wouldn't be able to keep in any 2012 scenario anyway.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
