True, so true. I love a warrior attitude, a winning brain. It's true.
But how many more 4-14 nights can we survive as a franchise?
A winning brain has to be backed up by an intelligent process as a foundation, there has to be fresh, clean water flowing under the ground if the stream is going to be good for drinking when it surfaces. It is not enough that the water flows, it has to be quality. No one should drink sludge.
Let's focus on his positives for a second: best defender on the team, 6th in the NBA in steals and assists. He's making $7.5 million/yr
Him needing to take 14 shots in a game is more of an indictment on the rest of the roster that the Knicks we need to use him to shoot 16 percent of the team's shots.
This team is a work in progress not some engineering problem. People drink treated, distributed water after the system is designed, installed, and meets inspection standards. The Knicks are not even done being designed yet and as much has been admitted by Walsh.
