10. Anthony Randolph. (Last week: 11) He actually scored in his 2:56 against Miami, though he sat for the Cavaliers game. At this point, we have to assume that he's spending practices — considering D'Antoni always notes what Randolph does in practice as the reason he's sitting him — setting fire to rabbits. The Knicks need an off-the-bench spark and some size down low. They have Randolph right there. What is going on? It must be the rabbits.

Anthony Randolph is a terrible basketball player. He's 6'10" and tries to play like Jamal Crawford and not like a big man. His role should be to rebound and defend the paint. Not take jumpers off the dribble or corner threes. Randolph has to be the biggest joke I've ever seen considering all the bs we had to read about him all summer about how great he was going to be. We had some here predicting 20 and 10 and begging for him to be our backup PG.

AR has 10-year old brain. Too small to controll 6'10" body.
Can brain grow after 21?

i have a feeling this terrible basketball player is going to get real minutes in the thunder game, thanks to donnie being in attendance. if this terrible basketball player has a good game in the thunder game. then this terrible basketball player will have a good chance at proving donnie right in trading for him.

Randolph deserves minutes. MDA is has lost it since everyone on the bench seems to be in the dog house. Its not so much Randolph as it is MDA all he has to do is let Randolph know what he wants out of him its that simple. If he tells rRandolph to play center and shoot only layups and 5 foot jumpers he will do it. If he tells him to play great help defense and sweep the boards he will do that too. MDA dislikes Randolph and anyone else on the bench. He is a stubborn fool. He really does not know how to coach big men and frankly he doesn't know what he wants out of them.

Randolph is not that bad, MDA is destroying Randolph's confidence and he is destroying the fans confidence in players.

I think that knows what he wants from AR, but communicates this message poorly to the player. As things are going, he's going to have to wait for the proverbial injury to get his message across. A more versed coach pulls his player aside during a foul shot or dead ball situation to let him know how something will/ is to be handled. This is the approach for a young player such as AR. Mike wants to go to the Phil Jackson school and sit back, allowing the game to unfold ashe's laidout in his grand scheme. These situations call for more micro management.

How hard is it to understand what Mike wants AR to do? Mike said that he should be able to impact a game not so much from an offensive standpoint, but from his being active in every other facet of the game. He should be able to play with high energy and come out of a game with 10-15 minutes but impressive stats, due to his high activity level. If you need a perfect example just look at Fields. He comes in and does all the little things. He also lets the game come to him. This is what AR has to do. Defend, Rebound, Run, Block shots, Set picks, pass the ball... He just has to focus on those things. He has to master the system as well, so that he can fit right in and keep the ball moving as it should.

Well he didn't want to play the bench cause we fell in a 3-8 hole, then we started winnimg and needed to make up ground, now that we have lost 3 straight, do go the same route, or do you go the route that put you in the 3-8 hole.

There's a difference between being in the dog house and just not showing enough to help the team. Who among us didn't cringe when STAT sat during the last few games. Just hoping to spell him for 3-5 minutes and not give up a lead or fall further behind. The fact is, he's playing so well and his replacements so poorly that really hasn't had much choice but to ride him.

Dog house implies rabbitish or similar shenanigans. I'm not sure if that's what's going on here. I think MDA is rooting for AR, isn't pissed at him, but just doesn't trust him yet. And probably for good reason.

Since Nov., the Knicks haven't had many, if any, 4-day stretches between games like this. Without a couple of good hard practices that are more than just walk thrus, it's hard for guys to earn their way back into the rotation. Let's hope that AR or Moz shined over the last couple of days and earned some minutes against the Thunder -- and that they'll deliver in those minutes.

I dislike rabbits. Always have, though I don't ignite them. Now I realize why MDA has such issues with his coaching: He likes rabbits.

Figures.

And yes, AR deserves minutes. It's the coaches job to get excellence from his players. AR has talent, athleticism, and skills we need. MDA is the one with limited skills (coaching I mean) and that's why AR sits.

not sure but he's certainly not setting fire to the practice floor if you listen to any of the coaches.

from what I have seen of AR in games its pretty clear why he's not playing. Just because he can do things doesnt mean he will.
