Amare is a great but we certainly dont have that 2nd star player. We do have some good pieces, and when an entire team defends you can overcome the star factor. Detroit proved this. When you look at his strength he gives up very litte size wise and once he starts pushing the ball his is very difficult to stop. He's not the best floor general but his strengths (defense, speed, toughness) are more than enough.

Put it this way... against 20 other teams in the NBA our PG is winning us that matchup.

Who clearly better? Deron, CP3, Rondo... dont really feel like going through the list but you get the idea. Felton can explode to the basket and really finishes well.

P&R isnt good. Half court isnt good in general, but he's bringing a lot. A LOT

GREAT signing by Walsh. This was the kind of options that opened up when we gave up ONE PICK and Hill to dump JJ and that $10mm in cap space. For that we got Mosgov on Felton. Totally worth it.

Felton is a leader on a good team and good unit. Lets see how good. Talk to me in 50 games

Those are heavy words there. I like Felton and I like the confidence he has playing the game now. He may not be a pick and roll type of guy but he does many other things well. Amear is doing other things well because the P&R is not always there. Lets just wait and see.

they might seem heavy but i think it really just shows how bad the Knicks PG have been over the last 30 years

I've seen enough of his play this season to say there is truth at times in this sentiment. As Martin has pointed out though the man is a tenacious defender and is good off and on the ball. You say he gambles to much but I say this is d'Antoni's defensive style. The man on the ball if beaten is to pursue and trap as the help rotates on the ball. This sets the offense up for a steal if the help arrives in time. This is why you see our guys fronting for ball denial at times.

At times I have seen TD implement the offense. Against Charlotte in the 3rd with him on the floor at point they stretched the lead as he set up open teammates for 3's by penetrating. He is not a finished product and it is my belief he would be further along had he more playing time last year. He ran the offense pretty well last year for his little stretch til Sergio got his turn.
TD will be fine. His love of the game will get him there.

IMO it's not really about playing time. You go on the court knowing what you want to do and how you want to do it. Playing games doesn't magically make you execute. You have to get that down in practice so that when game time comes you already know what to do. TD doesn't really have an understanding of how to work the defense in order to create shots. He does it at times, but then he seems to spazz out and get confused on how to get the team back in synch and reset the offense. This is when he tends to press and either shoot a 3 or drive. The problem is that NOBODY knows what he's doing cuz it's outside of the offense. He's breaking the play and so guys are out of position, no one is moving and we aren't in a position to get an offensive rebound either. There are no angles for him to make a pass, cuz again, there's no play.

I don't know if he's ever going to get it. It's possible, cuz at times he seems to run the play just fine, but when the D stops the initial play he tends to get lost. He doesn't have an answer for that as I said, he can't restart the offense and get a good shot. A true PG knows how to manipulate the defense in order to setup his teammates. That's the primary purpose. TD is so far removed from being able to do that, it's not even on the horizon. He'd be better as a SG with someone else running the point. In the end this is what may just happen this year. TD seems to need more time than he may have this season. I hope I'm wrong.

7/10 so far. I like his confidence on the court, even though he has made certain mistakes with the ball which have surprised me.

I think you can win with this guy, and that is all that really matters.

Two weeks ago most wanted to run him out of town after 8 games.

16 games in and your starting to see what patience and the fact these guys do get better with a new system.

Wish what you want but the kid was given a two year contract and I suppose if we loved him and he is our guy we can extend him NEXT year. If there is a next year.

Lets see how he holds up a FULL season. Lets see what me might could draft with and develop. Lets see what the trade winds blow like.
