Is it a reasonable question to ask? We did stink for two years when --perhaps we couldve been competitive or even better than that. Zach Randolphs is currently avg 21-12 shooting 50% on a very good team void of a bench. If they had a good bench--they would be a 4-5 team in the west playoffs.

I don't think it's possible to get a better player than Zach Randolph. I don't think it ever will be. Zach Randolph epitomizes basketball perfection.

He's the greatest player who ever lived.

What fools we were to trade him.

If only we gave Isiah a chance.

Curry
Zach
Q
Craw
Marbury
6-Francis

Talk about power. That was it. I can't believe we never gave it a chance. Should have just stuck with that. 146M payroll is chump change for Dolan. By now we'd be a top 3 EC team for sure. We just never let these guys jell! And now we're repeating the mistakes of the past.

Hill
Lee
Harrington
Hughes
Duhon

Why didn't we run with this? What were we thinking!? Had we just let them play we'd certainly be around .500 right now and in the 8th spot.

I think we need to fire Walsh and D'Antoni. Pronto.

We couldve had both guys play together for two years. I think a wide majority of hardcore basketball fans would nudge it to Randolph--but Lee is MUCH MUCH better than many of the people here give him credit for--he's a fringe all star player. I do think Randolph pretty much abused Lee the other night and is a player no one in the NBA can contain because of his physical package of body and skills. He is a leader of a team that is winning and D Lee is not.

Definately not in my opinion, but until today, he is not overpaid like Zach. But I think if you ask Lebron "would you play next to Randolph or Lee?" he would no doubt take the first option.

As good as Zach has played this year, I'm not convinced he is the player you want to build around. Memphis has some very good players. OJ Mayo, Zach, Gasol, Rudy Gay and still are on the out of the playoffs as it stands right now.

I think regardless if you end up with a player better than Zach, you need to position yourself to have a chance to get a player.

If they will play 2 on 2 in NBA this will work. Othervise Zack and lebron will be only 2 players to touch the ball and Bron will need to defend for Zack and himself.
I think leBron can do it, but why he will kill himself?

I like Zach. I was one of the few people here who said he would play very well in MDAs system because he's a good basketball player. Funny though, he defends about as much as Lee does. He like to beat his man on offense and obviously he's a great rebounder. He never passes and is a poor ball handler.

Once again amazing how winning changes perception.

Zach was regarded as a cancer here. People wanted to trade down 10 spots to get rid of him contract. This was the guy that was holding the franchise back and clogging up the development of our young players. Now he's got Mayo, Gay, Gasol and Conley around him. He's surrounded by a solid 2-way 7 foot center and 3 wings who are high lottery picks and all good. Poof... Zach is great, will we ever get a guy like him before... bla bla bla.

Its mind boggling. Part of me hopes Lee goes somewhere like Pho or Miami or the Bulls where he has a star to play next to. Then you can watch him play in 4 of the next 5 all star games as he brings his 20/12/55% into the playoffs every year and everyone can joke about how the only good player on the Knicks in the last 10 years is on another team.

Fans around here are so jaded buy this franchise they dont even know what they are seeing anymore.

I dont even love Lee. He's a homegrown Knick and a guy that just works hard and gets better every year. I thought those were the guys you tried to draft and keep.

I dont even know what Lee's upside is. The guy went from a huslte garbage player to a point forward in 5 years. His stats arent inflated because he's always been a good rebounder. How do you inflate 20ppg and 55%???

If Memphis were in the east, they would be at least the 7th seed, if not higher.

Briggs- great question! I didn't know you knew how to create a poll on uk?

So - really, though, your question could be: When Walsh introduces Joe Johnson as our key off season signing, is Joe Johnson better/better value than Zach Randolph.

And maybe you have to ask - what is better- Joe Johnson & David Lee or

David Lee
Zach
& Crawford.

Oh, and

Jordan Hill
Our own 2011 draft pick
and our 2012 draft pick.

That is why it is Lebron or Bust!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. But is he a guy you want to build around? Keep in mind he will be pulling in Max dollars.
