Half full - for the first time in a long time we will be a player in FA signings when it matters most. We knew we wouldnt be in this draft - we new the plan was for free agency - and our management has done what needed to be done to get us into it.

Did it cost us a lot? Yes - however, we are still in it and can sign 2 max free agents plus we may have a huge recruiting chip in TMac (assuming he will actually sign for less if we can get 2 max FA's, and still has something left in the tank).

neither. We have a GM with a plan. If he executes it could be great. Knicks could have a star for the first time since Ewing. If he doesnt execute it will be no different than Isiah and Layden who were run out of town. I think he's a good basketball guy though and I like what he's done in the past

It's Nixluva here! Do I even have say how I voted?
I do find it refreshing to know that there's a high probability of something good happening for the 1st time in a longtime. The air is lighter. I remember the worst I felt as a fan was just before we fired Layden. I was depressed and had no hope for the future of this team. I never felt so negative even during the Isiah mess. Now tho it's all bright and sunny in my Knick world.

Half Empty until proven otherwise.

Given how we've been snake bitten as fans for the past 9 years I don't think it's a stretch to be pessimistic until you see results.

No more "Oh this guy will be a star we drafted him!" no more "Oh one more trade and we'll be an elite team!"

Cause we've been down that road so many times the past nine years and are 0-for-1,000,000 on those comments.

So to me, prove it. Once you're a star, great we got a star. Once we make a trade that actually puts us over the top, great, it put us over the top.

No more free passes to stardom for this fan. Prove it, then, get the praise.

So, half-empty it would be.
