Does this mean he, like, uber-repected Marbury?

D'Antoni is a jerk as much as Nate
All this great coach rah rah may not be worth it in Knicks long run.

He's getting a rich paycheck $$$ for showing the real kind of coach he can be.
Sure Mike dont have all the pieces yet but if you are a Nba player whom would want to
come here in 2010 ? and play for NY and D'Antoni.

He seems to be into himself more than into the Team concepts he's teaching.

DJ, are you Aaron Goodwin?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Dude just put up 9 wins in the last month and people are looking to fire him?

Pretty sweet fan base we have here.

Should we replace him with Flip Saunders? He seems to be doing well with much better talent.

No ... NOPE Nope nope you're missing the point JWallace44
Of course it would be totally absurd to fire a coach whom gets this Knick Team
our team to 9 wins and some good basketball in Decemeber. My Post isnt at all
about firing the coach

All I am saying is you go out of your way to make example of Nate not being in
rotation. Its fine if he cant be the 6-7 guys off the bench.

However if guys aren't good some nights or making foolish plays you cant reward
players for that with fans watching.

I can see not playing the young Robinson 2 -5 games even 1 week.
But to exile Nate for nearly 1 month ? is absurd even if he played only 5 min total for 1 game or quarter.

But listen up Knicks arent good enough yet in their judgement plays. Duhon is gonna stink when he stinks. Chandler and Danillo fails to go to basket when their city brick jumpers aint working. How come Mike D' teams always got to shoot
3's to win games ? What the heck do Knick fans thing about Alton Harrington ? He sure aint no genius when it comes to
using his brain or making shots consistently with his play.

If you watch and Listen to D'Antoni you'd think 1/2 the current Knick squad got 4 yr bachelor or master degrees in
their basketball judgement. Donni Walsh sits and watches.

Knicks brough in J.Bender whom I like a D.Walsh move. But after 1-3 fair games Bender has been a dud
whom gets playing time. You want to tell me this Coach D'Antoni is doing all he can to win games ?

You need to adjust and change flow of game. D'Antoni made remark he'd rather play satan
than Nate well as Knicks fans you shouldnt like that regardless if you like nate or not.

Coach is doing same thing as done in Marbury incident and I couldnt stand Stephon.
Nate isnt here long enough to be a Marbury. Nate needs to be developed or traded
not rotted and embarrassed. When guys arent playing right and if knicks are out of
games late why don't D'Antoni try to develop Jordan Hill whom had few nba showings recently
in November. Now he rots on the bench when Knicks lose to likes of Bobcats and Nets in games
they run out of gas or look disinterested.

I'm sure Nate is practicing and ready to go if his number is ever called in a game.
(I doubt it, Donnie Walsh will trade him).

It goes back to Knicks and their ways of dealing with players. Not everyone is a cancer like
Stephon. Latrell Sprewell was exiled cause the stupid owner JJ Dolan didnt like him.
Knicks go on like the 2 champion titles they won the other day and NYK havent dont squat in
over 30 yrs for titles. We got no draft picks in 2010.

You want to attack F/Agent players in 2010 ? 2011 ?
You dont dis' players like you do here, Marbury got what he deserved somewhat. Nate doesnt
deserve this.

Why do you think ? guys like Dwayne Wade and other stars laugh and stab the Knicks as not a matter
of importance in Free Agency. Knicks got $$$ and big names may not come here. Nate is immature and
needs to be developed. Nate is also popular in nba among peers and Robinson will never be a star/allstar.

Watch next season if all this Knicks business works in their favor when they try to sign players.

Its funny because the team came out of training camp mentally and emotionally unprepared and displayed a lack of professionalism. Training camp in my mind is the time when a coach teaches and gets his team fired up for the season. I have been surprised by the turnaround because I thought MDA either didn't have the ability to communicate to his team or he lost them before the season started. There was alot of talk about how bad the roster was and that D'Antoni should get a pass because the group of players he had were so sorry that they couldn't be coached or play right. D'Antoni deserves some of the credit for the success the team has had recently. But he also deserves alot of the blame for the struggles the team has gone through this season. In my opinion trying to get this team to fit into the style of play that he wanted hindered their success and things got better when he became less rigid about his style. I think D'Antoni is learning as much as his players. He came from the perfect situation to run his offense and experienced success there. However, coming to terms with the fact that his system might not work with the team he currently has did not come to him easily and he is still far from that point. He has adapted some but there are some guys that will never fit with what he thinks is the right way to play so he doesn't use them. The simple analogy that you can't fit a square peg into a round hole fits with what it appears he spent training camp and the first month of the season trying to figure out. I think Walsh is a quite a bit quicker to figure things out and he will only be bringing in guys with perfect character that don't rock the boat because they also do not fit with what D'Antoni can handle as a player on his team.

These players are a joke. There is a very fragile way that you can put this team out there where they can win more than half their games and you're seeing it.

You put the longest guys out there, you tell them to switch all they want because you know they can't get over screens. They can't run the 7SoL offense, so you say fine, walk it up, even though that makes Chandler much less of an impact player.

What do you want from this dude? Coaches around the league thought that last year's Knicks was the best coaching job that MikeD's ever done. If they make the playoffs this year... I guess you guys will still complain huh?

this team looked tired & listless out there tonight... Hughes & Duhon looked like garbage from the 1st quarter on & no Toney Douglas anywhere... but at least Nate's getting the respect he's earned.

This game looked like the Nets were playing their SuperBowl and we weren't quite ready for that.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the same dudes that are killing MikeD are the ones who love to sniff Gallo's jock all the time. Where's he been the last three games? Is that Mike's fault that he's had his head in Italy for the past week?

This team is put together with duct-tape and scraps of paper right now, and you guys want to shake it up a bit just for the hell of it... nonsense.

speaking for myself, when Gallo has a bad game i call him out on it just like i do any other player... i don't play favorites on this forum, i call it like i see it... when players like Gallo are having offnights, we need to be able to turn to other guys on the team... Nate could have helped tonight just like he could have against the Spurs... we looked tired out there & the Nets' guards were running all over the place on Duhon & Hughes all night long... if u don't think so u weren't watching the damn game.

This was one of the first games where the Nets had their starting rotation healthy. Yi was huge for them and is much better than Boone. I think the Nets team that the Knicks saw tonight is what the rest of the league will be seeing now that they are healthy.

I don't think the team was tired. I think they were listless and flat. If they were tired, why were they able to turn up the defense and intensity in the fourth quarter. To me this was part of that infection that is so hard to get rid of. They won a big game the night before and played nearly flawless. They rested on their laurels and came out flat during a game where they really needed to turn up the heat and put their foot on someone's throat.

Harrington played 24 minutes and should have been fresh
Jeffries was in foul trouble and only played 23

Outside of D.Lee all the guys played between 34 and 38 minutes. D.Lee played 42 minutes and came back and played well again last night. He didn't use the tired excuse. Other teams have guys that play those minutes and come back on the 2nd of back to back and play well. We don't. We still use the tired excuse. We came out flat. Not tired. We thought it would be an easy game and the infection stuck us in the asse again

i know. that was a time when we could have come back too.

i loved the drives by wilson, al and dlee. everybody else was either wimping or just isn't sufficiently skilled to take it at the nets.

D Lee got tired down the stretch, even Clyde noticed it... Gallo had no legs & his shot was way off... Al was the only one providing much offense in the stretch run of the 4th quarter.

My point is that there are plenty of guys that play 38 one night and come back and play a full game the next night. If young guys like Gallo(played 36) and Duhon(34) and Wilson(38) can't come back on the 2nd night of back to backs then we may as well mail the back to backs in from here on out. If guys like Hughes and Douglas and Bender can't come off the bench and spell minutes then we may as well mail it in. How did Ewing ever do it?

For the record
Lebron on Tuesday plays 39 minutes. The next night he plays 43 and puts up 48, 10 and 6
Chris Paul on Tuesday plays 42 minutes. The next night he plays 37 and puts up 18 and 9
david West on Tuesday plays 39 minutes. The next night he plays 39 and puts up 21 and 10

these guys play these heavy minutes every night. We got guys that are "tired" in the 2nd quarter a night after playing 34, 36 and 38.

I have no doubt that D'Antoni needs to expand the rotation from time to time. But our problems started by not playing d in the 1st quarter, not the last, the first. Before they played heavy minutes!!! This is the sign of a team that is flat, not a team that is tired.

I just hope that people will like me
