![]() First backup all your data. Second, the best approach to this issue I've seen are the programs that remove the virus or malware before your OS fully loads. There are two tools I know of that do this and both have free downloadable versions.
MalwareBytes What it does is have you reboot after a virus is detected and it tries to remove the virus/malware before all the Windows Services, etc., load. You can also try running it in safe mode. I'd probably try MalwareBytes first. http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php. Do be careful when downloading this one because the CNET download page has two download buttons on it. One is an advertisement for another product. You want to click the one that says: Download Now
You reboot with the cd you created. Do check the options before you scan as it will only scan the drive be default and won't actually remove the virus. You need to tell it to remove / rename virus files in the options. http://www.avira.com/en/support/support_downloads.html If these didn't work, I'd reinstall. Don't forget to backup your data first. Good luck. https://
It's not so hard.
