'Sup Fellas, long time, no argue!

Okay, by now you know the deal...it's time to Hang Your Ass!

Make a bold prediction about the upcoming Knicks and NBA season! Say what you believe! It doesn't have to be a positive prediction, as will be in evidenced with my predictions, but it does have to be audacious and decisive, no waffling goddamn-wishy-washy sissy predictions!

Since this year is all about next year, I have included a bonus poll: Do we get LeBron or do we not get LeBron? Was it worth it? And feel free to predict about other teams and the NBA in general since there isn't much to talk about when it comes to our own boys.

And if any of us do make a sissy prediction, well don't be surprised when it gets quickly and obnoxiously classified as such!

***

Now lemme get this party started:

1)Toney Douglas will be the best rookie on the Knicks - including Galinari, but he will get totally hosed for playing time because they will be trying to pump Galinari's stats! (Until prediction #6 comes true.)

2) The Knicks get to 50!

3) We all watch as many Net games as we do Knicks.

4) Terence Williams shows breakout talent makes us wish we drafted him instead of Jordan hill.

5) David Lee will rack up double doubles but will not improve the other areas of his game (again), gets worked over by every forward in the league (Again), and let's guards shoot layups in his face (Again) and it will make us like him less and less.

6) Duhon will be traded by the deadline. When he leaves Toney Douglas takes over, steps right in and makes some serious noise.

7) The Nets threaten to make the playoffs.

8) Eddy Curry plays maybe half the season. We're not sure who pisses us off more, Darko or Curry.

***

Okay that's what I got for right now, but I'll be back! Maybe some of those were sissy predictions, I don't know.

Again, the bonus question is: Do the Knicks Land LeBron? My vote will be NO!

***

Now, it's time for you to Hang Your Ass Out there!

9) Larry Hughes makes us wistfully reminisce about the intelligent play and conservative shot selection of Jamal Crawford.

That's a pretty big ass hang. If duke plays 10 games, I'll eat my hat.

the all-star game will be interrupted by a 10-story tall fire breathing dragon from medieval times that was time warped in freak scientific experiment gone wrong. the game will be called a no contest but not before several all-stars are incinerated. having had no all-stars, the knicks will continue the season at full-strength decimating a depleted eastern conference. they will make it to the finals but lose in 4 games to the lakers led by ron artest. sasha vujacic will be finals mvp.

Jared Jeffries will get traded for a 2010. I'd even go as far as to say for Mike James as the Wizards are in trouble with Jamison going down.

Gallo will continue to impress and IF HEALTHY will work his way into the starting lineup.

Douglas will be a regular in the rotation.

Darko will continue to disappoint as a whole but prove serviceable all the same.

Jordan Hill will continue to stink and make us regret not using the pick in ANY other way.

The Knicks will win 35 games. They will stay close or even be in the playoff race for a while making us all say "They're only 2 games out! We can do it!" before the reality sets in that in order to make up those two games we actually have to be a BETTER TEAM than those we are chasing - which ultimately won't happen.

LeBron media mania will drive us INSANE.

Nate Robinson will have at least one major blowout with the coach. Probably sealing his fate as a lock to NOT return to the team next season.

The Knicks will think about using Al Harrington as trade bait for future assets.

Every team we play - the media will write about that team's best player and how the Knicks can trade for him.

We will get sick of the chuck and duck offense wondering why, despite the fact we have several players that are good in the post, we rarely run a post play except by mistake.

Most every fan will forget what the purpose of this season is and cry about why we're not trading our expirings for the usual list of "talented" malcontents and muse how the Stephen Jacksons and Baron Davis' of the world would turn us into a contending team - as if we're just one piece away.

Unless they are exciting I see myself watching maybe 50 games.

In the year 2000.... Darko Milicic will resurrect his career, averaging nearly a double-double with 13 points and 9rebs a game and will start for the team come January.
In the year 2000.... The Knicks will win 38 games and get into the playoffs as the 8th side the very last night of the regular season.

HOLY SHIT, its Oohah. where ya been buddy?

my prediction - 33 wins, a 5-12 start will demoralize the knicks and by all star break, they will be AT LEAST 10-15 games under 500

10) Nate Robinson averages about 20 PPG.

11) Nate Robinson and his 20 Gaudy PPG average are packaged with Duhon and Lee's Gaudy rebounding stats for a pretty good player.

12) Utah gets the #1 pick in the draft and they land a bonafide superstar to play with Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams.

It's all about the Benjamins JJ. Business has really blown up for me the past few years and it got to the point where I had to sacrifice some of the things I enjoy in order to look after my company and ventures the way I need to.

Now can I get more of a ass-hanging prediction from you?

Man, I have not read a post from oohah in like a year.

Your statement here is so true. 1 for 23. Even Crawford would not shoot that badly.

My predictions:

1) Curry is officially Hardawayed by December
2) We will win 41 games (bank on it)
3) Gallo will average 15 pts per game by January

Trust the Process

1 - The Knicks will be playing in front of half-capacity Garden crowds by the All-Star break
2 - Lee will lead the Knicks in scoring, rebounding and "matador-D" calls from Clyde
3 - Jeffries leads the team in +/-
4 - Wilson Chandler leads the team in blocks
5 - no Knick makes the All-Star team
6 - At least three players with expiring deals will be "going Marbury" in the second half when they don't get playing time
7 - Walsh will consider giving Mike D'Antoni a leave of absence to work with the US National Team instead of coaching out the string for the Knicks.
8 - Nate will lose to LeBron in the slam dunk championships. Howard will wear his SuperMan garb, Nate will be in Kryptonate gear, and LeBron will have a TwoFace outfit with half Cavs gear and half Knicks and will play it off as a joke.
9 - Curry will play less than 48 min worth of basketball this year
10 - At some point in early February the NY Post will run an article showing that Isiah's FIU team has as many wins as the Knicks.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

1.) Gallo will play 50 games and average 8 and 4.
2.) Jordan Hill will finish the season off with a Cambyesque flair causing people to ask, "Why didn't D'Antoni play him sooner."
3.) Johnny Flynn will win rookie of the year and Terrence Williams will be the only area player to be on the all rookie team.
4.) The media will take D'Antoni's pass card from him right after New Years and by March 'Fire D'Antoni'Chants will be frequent at Knick home games.
5.) The Knicks will just miss qualifying for the playoffs but in what will be called a miracle, they will win the draft lottery for the Jazz.
6.) Marcus Landry will be in the rotation by January and from that point on he will put up better numbers than Jeffries, Hughes and Gallo.
7.) CDR, Courtney Lee, Ryan Anderson, and Brooke Lopez all play for the sophmore team at the all star game and Terrence Williams plays for the rookies. Surprisingly no Knick is selected for either squad.
8.) Eddy Curry will not play a minute for the Knicks this year.
9.) Donnie Walsh breaks away from the 2010 plan by trading Chandler, Jeffries and Douglas for Elton Brand at the trade deadline.

1. Danilo Gallinari will play 30+ mpg and play very well in those minutes.
2. Wilson Chandler will take more inside shots than outside shots.
3. David Lee will play defense and also manage to average a block per game.
4. Chris Duhon will play at near all-star level.
5. Nate Robinson will play under control and stop acting like a clown.
6. Darko will average a double double - on blocks and rebounds.
7. Marcus Landry will get more playing time than Larry Hughes.
8. Toney Douglas will be 6th man of the year.
9. Eddy Curry will play 75 games this season.
10. The Knicks will have 2 representatives at the all-star game.
11. Al Harrington will average 25, 8 and 4.
12. Jordan Hill will outplay Blake Griffin in his rookie season.
13. Jared Jeffries will be traded at the trade deadline...for Jerome James.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
