Looking at the cover of ultimate knicks it's between gallo and harrington newsday (long island paper) has harrington coming off the bench http://www.ultimateknicks.com/outerlink.asp?id=677064 Bench role a consideration for Harrington Newsday — GREEENBURGH, N.Y. - Al Harrington said he would come off the bench this season if that's what the Knicks wanted him to do, but it's clear he doesn't think that is what the Knicks should want him... » 4 hr 44 min ago however, the new York times (Americas new York paper?) has gallo coming off the bench: http://www.ultimateknicks.com/outerlink.asp?id=677009 Gallinari May Start Knicks Season on Bench NY Times (JONATHAN ABRAMS) — Knicks Coach Mike D'Antoni said he will treat this as Danilo Gallinari's rookie season after he was limited to 28 games last year and he may not initially be in the starting lineup. » 5 hr 12 min ago who are we to believe? Better yet, who do you believe (or prefer to be true)

My heart says start harrington and bring gallo in with ... Yeah, well Nate.

Starting lineup:
jeffries
lee
harrington
insert sg here
duhon

but with harrington an interesting pf and neither of our centers making me feel jolly, I'd like to see both start.

Has anyone figured out our starting 5 yet?

If I have to choose gallo off bench.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Right now Harrington is better than Gallo.

As far as the starting lineup, I would have:

Nate
Chandler
Harrington
Jeffries
Lee

No discussion on that one...
Though I'd still rather see Darko in there than Jeffries.
Or a sign post.

With Hughes stinking it up I guess it's going to be:

Lee
Al
Jeffries
Chandler
Duhon

I think it should be:

Darko
Lee
Al
Chandler
Duhon

But it won't for whatever reason.

Gallo needs to continue to come off the bench until he gets it going.
You're not sitting Al Harrington he's the only truly legit starting caliber player we have.

Jefferies has clearly outplayed Darko in every way shape and form. He's actually looked good and like the player Isiah was hoping to get for the full MLE. A guy that doesnt have much offense, but can do a little of everything, and a guy that can defend 4-5 positions at any given time.

Based on preseason I'm benching Duhon, sitting Hughes, starting Nate, JJ and Douglas.

If the seaons started today:
guards: Nate, Douglas
forwards: Chanlder, Lee, JJ
bench: Harrington, Gallo, Duhon

Those are my 8 to start. Harrington or Gallo can sub for anyone because Chandler can swing to SG.

I like Nate, Douglas, Chandler and JJ in the starting line up because all get after the ball. There's a lot of steals and deflected passes leading to fast break chances with that lineup. The backcourt is small but at least Douglas gets after guys, gets steals and contests shots. You can feature Nate on offense(our best offensive player) and bring in Harrington off the bench for any of those 5 (Al will get 30 mins a game).

I want speed and defense to start the games and set the tempo

9 man rotation, Darko is also in the rotation.

I like the energy and toughness Nate and Douglas play too, but I don't like just throwing him in the fire like that, and I can see us getting exposed easily, with such a short backcourt.

We definitely need a true and tall shooting guard.

Gallo has not played as well as Harrington in pre-season or last season. Don't start him until he earns it. I'm a big Gallo fan. I think he has great potential and will, at some point, be a productive starter. But he has to earn it.
So... Who comes off the bench?
