These seem to be the only names being discussed as possible Knick acquisitions in recent days. Of these, which one would you prefer to see the Knicks acquire? What should the goal be? Bring in a veteran who can run the offense, and show the youngsters how to "play the right way?" Bring in someone who will generate fan interest? Bring in a veteran who is super-competitive and hates losing? Or bring in a young guy with promise who can grow with the team?

I will take all 3 of these men over Jamaal Tinsley. My favorite is Sessions because of his playmaking ability and AI simply because it is AI and he's a future Hall of Famer. The idea of AI is pretty bad. He wouldn't fit too well on this team but nobody can deny seeing AI in a Knicks uni will not generate fan interest in an otherwise dull season.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Tinsley for sure. AI in a Knicks uniform would make a lot of people angry, I would hope. Sessions is good, but it doesn't seem likely.

AI... how many full MLE signings work out? I'd rather not read about who Tinsley shot at Scores. Jason Williams would have been nice five years ago--oh wait, no he wouldn't have.

AI gets 24-25 PPG here and at $5.8 mil he can probably be packaged with Jeffries or Curry to a team like Houston or Washington that's trying tot alk themselves into a run at the playoffs.

Sessions - go young.

Only get AI if he is serious about turning it around and trade him once he has or use him as a recruiting tool - would he even be able to help in that dept?

He's an old dog and I doubt he is turning anything around at age 34.

Sessions - even though he impacts 2010 cap #, I'd like to see a move for the long term, and the start of building for this team beyond 2010.

I really don't know the answer myself. Sessions sounds good, but is he really the point guard of the future? I'm tempted to say AI, but I know that's a classic starphuch move. Tinsely and J. Will don't interest me much.

Sessions, until Rubio is done with his first contract, and then Rubio (assuming he isn't a glass-jawed noob still) or even one of the premier PG FA like Paul.

Maybe Sessions will dramatically improve his game and we stick with him. A play maker is what MDAs offense needs, and if he can average 20 pts in scoring, all the better, but we need him for his play making and floor management skills.

I think it would be nice if we could get Sessions and AI.

I like Tinsley. I think he would do great in MDA's offense and he wouldn't impact 2010.

sessions is such a good fit for this team at 23 if you sign him to a full MLE i think he'll be a real good player at the end, possible an all-star appearance just b/c his numbers will be so insane. he is good at setting people up, is way taller than nate, is way more athletic than duhon. i don't see why you wouldn't go for him.

AI man how is that going to turn out i honestly wouldn't be surprised if he retired

This what they want - one for practical needs and another for comercial use.

I voted for Sessions but second choice isTinsley, if and only if he is in shape and can show that he can play on par from 1 1/2 yrs ago.

who knows what kind of shape Tinsley's in

Sessions... why didn't the Bucks like this dude more? They were a terrible team. They didn't want him, but we're going to build around him? Yikes.

He looked good in Knicks games, but I'm just saying. There must be some negatives there too.

If we sign Sessions then we're putting off the 2010 plan pretty much until 2011. Aren't all the big 2011 guys the PG's?

At some point, Nate has to be respected as the player he is. Not many can score like him in crunch time and if the surrounding cast is better he can distribute.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

What, no votes for Williams? The Knicks will be working him out this coming week.

Sessions and getting greedy, Mike Taylor too.

Pass on Williams, although I prefer him to Knucklehead Tinsley.

Nate is not a PG and if you sign him for that you will be looking for a PG soon, so if this is a discussion for a real PG, he isn't a Knick option. He is a great spark off the bench and you sign him for that only. The Knicks need a PG and the best at the least amount of money is Sessions. Why didn't the Bucks keep him? Who knows, but you can speculate that they didn't expect Jennings to be available and now they are fully committed to him. They could still match any offer so we'll know soon what they do. Is Sessions the perfect player? Of course not, but he is a young player that given playing time played solid PG and his best is yet to come, so at MLE it may be a bargain. He isn't Jerome James at all.
