Frank Isola reports that "within one day or two," Donnie Walsh is expected to decide between making a contract offer to Jamaal Tinsley or Ramon Sessions.

Tinsley is an unrestricted free-agent who will command a smaller salary than the restricted free-agent Sessions. If the Knicks make an offer to Sessions, the Bucks would have seven days to match.

It was reported earlier on Thursday that Walsh and Bucks' GM John Hammond spoke on Wednesday to discuss a possible sign-and-trade.

Sessions over Tinsley any day of the week but if Walsh goes with Tinsley for a year then it shows he doesn't want to lock up future funds and he's also afraid the Bucks will match an offer for Sessions.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Aw shyt. This post can definitely come back to haunt me.

I go with Tinsely. We only have to commit to him for a year rather than having to commit five to Sessions. Even if Sessions continues to improve, there will be better PGs to chose from in the future. Dont want to get stuck with another lemon.

I don't like what getting Tinsley says for this particular club. He's been a trouble maker and we don't need that. Thats not the message we want to send to our team and potential FA. Basically its saying we will be willing to settle for run of the mill. I wouldve rather signed Marcus Williams than Tinsley. If we FAIL with an MLE[in other words we put our best foot forward with what we can do with Sessions and it does work] than maybe we can look at guys like Tinsley for stop gaps --but I will be dissapointed if we don't give a maximum try--meaning offering a full MLE package.

Yup. Skiles was said to like Duhon when he coached him in Chicago.

Sessions would start, and Nate would play some PG, as well as SG, in his final year on the Knicks, and Douglas will be brought along at his own speed, getting more minutes by the end of the year.

What did Tinsley do in his adult life to call him a trouble maker??? Did he steal any computers in college???

what if they sign Sessions for a multi-mid level deal AND still sign Tinsley to a vet minimum???....no Nate with Chandler and Hughes @ the 2

I'm sick and tired of watching guys that have wasted opportunities, been locker room problems or gotten out of shape. Bip says No more!!!!!!!!!!

I promise all of you here that if we sign Tinsley I will spend an entire week in Apalonia!

I really want Sessions but the boy can't shot for ****. It's actually quite depressing. Also I am hearing that Milwaukee would match any offer he recieves bc they do not want to lose him for nothing. So we are looking at a sign and trade.

Reasons why Bucks would do a deal for Jeffries

1. Jared Jeffries is a Scott Skiles type player.

2. They traded Richard Jefferson and are in need of a small forward. Bruce Bowen won't get it done.

3. Jeffries has 2 years left on his contract and the deal we offer Ramon will be 3-5 years.

Trading Jeffries for Sessions would just be too good to be true. I think if we threw in a 2nd round pick they might do it?? One can hope!

You just listed 3 reasons but in reality there are 0.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
