I say he starts off very well into the season and another team's center goes down and trades for Eddie Curry, giving us back a reasonable player who's contract expires at end of season. what you guys think??

The man has too many issues to picked up by another team. He will remain a Knicks probably until next summer.

I don't think the Knicks can get medical relief for his heart condition because they were aware of it when they signed him. I don't think he will play again.

Eddy will lose all his money; will never play bbal with Knicks or any other team.
You will find him on Chicago streets begging for change while performing dunking into 4-fit toy-basket.

eddy will eat some bad meat, which will cause him to lose his memory. this will prove to be a good thing, as he will forget all his bad habits and finally capitalize on his talents.

I can practically guarantee this.

He will remain an albatross around the neck of the franchise until his contract expires.

Eddy's in serious financial trouble. He's not the smartest player in the league, but even he's smart enough to know that everything depends on how well he does as a player over these next two years. My guess is that he plays like he did a couple of years ago, scoring well and drawing the double teams and maybe (though I wouldn't bet on it) does a little better rebounding and defensively. As a result of his improved play we actually get something useful in a trade before the deadline.

Eddy Curry never wanted to play basketball in the first place. 6'11 kids sometimes get pushed places they never want to be. I cannot remember a single quote of his love for the game. Ever.

Eddy can admit that he would prefer to be painting watercolors at the beach, take the Sarah Palin route and simply resign.

Eddy will come to NY training camp in better shape, show rust at first, gel with team within a month after TC and show new found offensive prowess. His rebounding numbers will go up for being more lighter and mobile. Comeback player of the year? Will Walsh wants to trade him if he actually helps the team win games and stays in middle of playoff hunt? Or is NY his kryptonite for relapse? Stay tuned....

Curry has a player option at next season's end. You're saying he 's going to opt out and retire?

If we wait till 2011 then that hinders our chances of getting a 2nd superstar. I think teh knicks will do whatever they can to rid themselves of Curry before the biggest free-agent period begins.

Hey guys look, we got rid of Randolph, Crawford and Jerome james and 2 of them had monster killer contracts and the the 3rd one(james), he really hadn't played a game in 2 yrs and the knicks was able to move that contract.

Walsh can do it..

the thing w/Zach & Jamal was that both players were putting up stats... Zach was putting up double doubles & Jamal was averaging 20ppg as a scorer... Curry still has another year left on his deal at big dollars, which makes him virtually untradeable until he shows he can be a productive player again in the NBA, otherwise we'll have to wait until we're into the 2010 season when he becomes an expiring contract the same as Walsh was able to do w/Big Turd's expiring deal.

After what we've heard about Eddie Curry recently, it's looking more like choice B from the previous 5 selections to choose from.

Plays in the 2009/10 season and do very well in Mike D' antoni's system

You know what, a recent blog from the NY post indicated if Curry does well, why should we trade him just to clear cap space? We might as well keep him if he's going to help this team win games. There aren't too many big men in this league any more..

He will play like he did 2 years ago, maybe even better. But Walsh ain't gonna keep him around if there is a team who will take the contract, unless he becomes a hybrid Shaq/Olajuwon mega-stud. He has too much baggage, too many life issues. And that's not even considering his messed up heartbeat.

I think Houston will grab him because he will prove to be far and away the best available offensive center, and they are gonna need to do something because it's not looking good for their Chinois Wonder, a 7'6" star with Rik Smits' feet. Guys that big don't recover from such an injury. Smits was smart to retire. Yao probably will do the same.

I think he will be better and the minute he gets better he'll be traded. Unless he's so good that he establishes himself as a possible second banana. Not likely though.
