LeBron and Bosh are going to have to want to play in front of no crowd until 2013 or so when the Nets finally move to Brooklyn so I seriously doubt they would ever goto the Nets.

lebron + bosh go to the nets, and you'll have log jams at the lincoln tunnel for ny'ers trying to get into the building.

Well the Nets were in the finals against the Lakers and the place wasn't even full to see Kobe and Shaq.

Ditto. This is a non-issue.

They'd probably have buses to shuttle people from the bus terminal to Nets games.

they'd take the city just like the Mets took the city in '86 if they were able to win a title, but the Knicks will always be NY's #1 team over the long haul just like the Yankees are.

Yep. Although its interesting to think how the paradigm of NY sports may have shifted, had the Mets been able to sustain their dominance rather than flaming out in a haze of bad trades, coke binges, and sexual assaults in the dugout.

Yanks took back the crown in the 90s...the Knicks gots to do something, they cant keep resting on the memory of Clyde frasier and Patrick. Nets get Bronny and Bosh...MAN!

it's b/c ny is a frontrunning city. there are the diehards...but most of the fans are frontrunners. there were no yankee fans around in 86...then all of the sudden, they show up in 96. if the nets had bron + bosh and were winning big, there's be ALOT of nets jerseys walking around.

So I presume the answer is none. What great player has taken less money to play for the Knicks?

Knicks also have so much more history just like the Yankees & Giants... hard for a fledgeling team to take the city over established fanbases like those teams have no matter how many frontrunners jump on the bandwagon... eventually the teams with the established fanbase will take over again in the long run... it's just like the Chicago White Sox no matter how well they play, Chicago will always be a Cubs town in the long run.

Nets couldn't take the city if they had Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, and Nash on the same team. The Knicks ARE the city.
