Do you want to make a play for 1 of these guys in the offseason or just stick w/the 2010 plan & hold onto our players & our lottery pick?

I'm not opposed to trading our assets for Chris Bosh. Actually I'd do it. But I'd want to sign him NEXT Summer b/c we'll have his Bird Rights. That way, we can DEFINITELY have the felxibility to sign someone else, even if it's Joe Johnson.

So no trading for him and then signing him right away. Either way, if he bolts, it sucks ass.

Bird rights are transferred in trades. We'd have Bosh's Bird rights if we traded for him this off-season.

I know that, but he can't opt out this offseason. He can opt out next offseason. He's eligible for extension this Summer though, I believe.

@ the Vince/Redd option. Thats Zeke all the way.

Melo is the right choice. I dont know what the interest level in denver is, but thats something we must explore. Thats a legit superstar right there, and a franchise changer. Similar to what Barkley did in Phoenix.

Bosh is a big question mark to me; he took a major step back this year. I hope he's not a one-hit, wonder.

None of the above. Keep the pick, hope for 2010, but get serious about rebuilding.

I think Denver has no reason to trade Melo the team is having their best season in a long time. Melo always has denver in the hunt for playoffs, they were never that until he got there.

I voted Melo, but I agree with Vmart... Denver today is night and day different form the beginning of the season when he was rumored to be on the block

Hold onto our assets meaning what? I want to S&T Lee and Nate for whatever we can get back.

Mike and Donnie are essentially saying that they don't value anyone except for the Rooster and the Mayor and they're right on in saying that.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Lee and Nate have value, just not starter value.

when i say "assets" i'm talking about Lee, Nate, Chandler, Gallo & our lottery pick, the only real trade pieces we have other than our expiring vets.

my vote goes to trading for Amare if we can get him for a package of Lee, Harrington & our pick... i think he's more of what we need than Bosh is... we need a physical banger down low who can score in the post & block shots... we already have a finesse bigman that can shoot in Gallo, he'd be a nice complement to Amare's game down low, & Duhon will run the P&R nicely w/Amare too... Chandler will fit nicely into that rotation as well... IMO Amare is better than anyone in this draft will ever be including Blake Griffin.

C - Amare
PF - Gallo
SF - Chandler
SG - Hughes
PG - Duhon
6th man - Nate
Q Rich
2nd rd. pick - Dionte Christmas
Fishlips
Curry

not too bad... an improvement over this year's squad IMO & u have a pretty good balance of inside & outside players, a shotblocker, shooters, & perimeter defenders... that team's not gonna win any championships but they can make a run at the playoffs, & for those who are so concerned about letting Utah get our pick next year that should be a plus... it also means we finally have a stud player to build around, & a guy who might be a nice drawing card for other FA's to want to come here in 2010 as well... the main focus after getting to this point would be to dump Fishlips or Curry's contracts to make room for another bigname the following year, but at least we'd be a big step ahead of where we are right now.

i'd look to build up Nate's trade value as much as possible next season & then trade him for an expiring & a 1st rd. pick in 2010 at the trade deadline if i could, or possibly combine him in a deal to dump our garbage contracts to make room on the cap to make a play for a bigname that summer.

I'm not interested in dealing our 1st rounder for Bosh, not when all it will take is money in 2010. I'd offer up Lee, Lee/Nate or maybe Lee/Gallinari - something along those lines. If the Raptors can do better than that, God bless 'em... That's as far as I'm prepared to go. No way I'm giving up the moon for a guy who's one yr. out from being a FA. I said the other day - if we acquired an additional 1st and say an early 2nd, I'd draft a DeJuan Blair/Taj Gibson combo. and feel completely comfortable with our 4 spot moving forward. Toronto's not getting our 1st rounder. No way - we need a major rebuilding piece with that pick. And I'm keeping Chandler out of this - I'm keeping him around for possibly another deal...

I think there is a high probability that we will sck again next year. How much actual room do we have to make deals? They dont want to take on salary--so how do we acquire players other than maybe a draft pick or two and or another ending contract?

Personally if there WAS a big name guy willing to take the MLE like a Nash or a Lamar Odom I would do it---they are asking to go into FA with a 25 win team if they sit tight.

Of course I would trade the pick for Bosh but Toronto wont

Our pick could end up as high as 11 and believe me that is not attractive in this draft. The best case scenario is we lose all of our game and GS wins 1 but it looks like they wont unless Phoenix give sup that last game.

why are Vince and Redd the options? Is Isiah still here? Taking on salary to get better doesnt mean overrated or hurt players

dude, read the choices again, i said "guys like Vince & Redd"... as in veterans w/big contracts that other teams will be looking to unload for expirings... insert whatever other players u think fits that description.

IM for keeping lee as he is one of those "glue" players that does wonderful things and does not have to have the ball to do it.

He is one of those "final" pieces to a championship puzzle and while its way too early to even think anything like that, he is a valuable asset in many ways.

Now if someone really wants to give us some good value back I would have to say yes. There is no "untouchable" on this team.

Nate is not right upstairs and while an obvious talent it would be best to just let him test his value and only resign him if on the cheap. Lee I would pay up for.

We can always trade either down the road. The 2010 scenario is value as we can sign and trade them after next season at full cap value.

Resigning them does not kill our plans.
