Our two best players are gone. Marbury, our best remaining player, is not suiting up. Curry isn't in good enough shape to play for D'Antoni. So our best available players are whoever is playing well on a given night. There's no one on this team that can dream of making the all star team. How bad is this roster? How many games can they win this season even with the good start before the trades? You decide - and feel free to elaborate.

my original prediction was 35 games... they got off to a better start than i thought but the trade brings them back down again... i'll keep the prediction at 35 for now til i see if these guys can get better as they get used to playing together w/the new guys.

I disagree. J Crawf, Z Rand, E Curry, and Starbury are/were our 4 WORST players.

They may have the most talent, but this league is filled with great talents who could never win a thing. Derrick Coleman, Isiah Rider, Kenny Anderson, Harold Miner.

See the worst aspect of Isiah's arrogance was that he in some "magical" way could turn around these negative yet talented players. And he was wrong.

clearly Roberson, Fishlips & Turd were our big 3 all along.

This team is f'ed until someone decides to get the ball in the paint.

This isn't the way Phoenix plays.

This is "Brick City baybay!"
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

This is Injured City. We are in full rebuilding mode right now.

I just hope all this turns into a nice pick in the draft.

I can't vote....i'm a little pissed that the trade may screw up the win loss record and prevent the playoffs.....then again I believe in these guys and I truly believe this group will gel and start beating the **** out of teams. Its gonna take a while....but I hope guys can get it together in time for the Celtics game!!!!

Seriously.....even though these are loses....I'm looking at it like a mini camp....I see some things that really excite me. When they start to click on all cylinders watch out!!!

No shooting guard, a log jam at point guard, a log jam at small forward, thin at the power forward spot and no center (given Curry gets the Marbury treatment). 26-30 games given this roster the way it is now.

Disapponting. They have no hope of getting into the playoffs. But worse, they aren't any fun to watch. Without Zach and Craw, the offense fizzles out. Harrington is shooting 30%. Our defense should be better, but it is NOT.

If Mobley doesn't play due to his heart condition, then the trade was terrible. Zach for TT. I know the exalted year 2010 is the goal, but as a fan, it is too hard to suffer on purpose, for 2 full seasons.

I originally picked them to win 39 games. I down to 29.

No. I said 33. I'll stick with it for now. Also I think the Knicks will be better when they get some players back later on in the season than they are now.

Zach and Craw were never fun to watch. Watching Zach be a black hole and Crawford shoot fade-away 3's was not fun to me. I believe I said they would win between 33-38 games. Make it between 28-33.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

GKF, why are you decreasing your total wins now that we got rid of 2 such terrible players , according to you, and we gained 3 proven veterans.?

Zach is fine if you have a defensive center. He scores and rebounds. If we had Camby, Zach would be great. He is now playing alongside Camby, but on the wrong team. We have no inside presence now.

yeah, drastically. i said maybe 35 wins but i can see it around 28-30 wins. we have no go to guys when a week ago we had two. the good thing is that they WILL play better ball and be competitive even though they haven't showed in the past two games. however, they are still a VERY flawed team.

I thought they would win 35-39 games. They actually were on pace to do better than that but I thought they would slow down once teams had more footage on them. Now I doubt they win more than 30 games. Just too much talent lost and it is going to take them 2-3 weeks to get the new guys set in the system.
