Nate. He's improving his game and he's doing better on defense and he's grown up and he's also learned to harness his energy.

No urgency on either player. Simple as that. Both will want an obscene amount of money (Lee has already asked for it) and I don't think either should get so much.

Personally I'd like to re-sign both if feasible and to me neither really does all that much more than the other on the court. They're both equally helpful out there. Nate's more tenacious but more prone to lay en egg.

Pretty equal feeling on both players.

Nate is and has been my favorite Knick for a while though.

I propose using Lee to get another draft pick before this Feb deadline. I dont really care where we are in the standings. I would keep Nate because I think he will be affordable. Something starting at $6mm a yea (ish) wont hurt our cap# if we are able to move Zach and Eddy. Lee will want closer to $10mm to start and I am just not sure he's worth it. I would rather go after a guy like Gerald Wallace for that kind of money.

resign Nate... trade Lee for a pick

Keep Mister Dynamite

Include Lee in a 13 player, three-way, trade deadline blockbuster that nets Francisco Garcia, Al Harrington and a player to be named later

If I told me a couple years ago I'd vote Nate over Lee, I'd kick my own ass. That said, I voted Nate. He's an asset off the bench. I just don't think Lee is worth the contract he'll be looking for.

it always seem like these guys earn good contracts and turn out to be overpaid. Troy Murphy and Al Harrington come to mind... good players, deserving good money, but dont have enough of an impact on the w/l to justify the cap use. These are the kinds of guys that are great to add once you already have your core. Then who cares.. its just money.

If I were judging on this year alone, I'd say Nate. He is playing more under control and adding a spark most times out. Lee looks slower and less hungry than he has in the past.

But I still don't trust Nate. He still turns the ball over too much, even if he is looking to pass more. And he still does a lousy job keeping his man in front of him, especially when he has to fight over picks. And I'm hopeful Lee's play has been hampered by injury and his rebounding will pick up again when fully healthy. So I voted Lee.

Definitely... I really couldn't care less how Dolan spends his money, like you said, it's just money. But I do care how the team allocates it's capspace. Maybe a legit star free agent is a pipe dream, but the could probably land a legit second tier type, like the Sixers with Brand or the Clippers with Davis. Adn those gys won't turn a franchise around by themselves, but I'd rather get someone like them than keep Lee.

Nate for 5-6 million would get it done.

And what are the chances of finding a player that can change the game like Nate for less money??? I think they are slim to none.

Pass on both. No time to sign players to big contracts because focus is on 2010. Knicks can't take a chance on one penny affecting the signing of a big time free agent.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Nothing special about both.
No... I mean they are special in some ways... but why spend money on unrated product.
We can see what teams want to give them and then decide.
It's businesss baby.

how about Jamal & D Lee for Camby & LAC's 1st round pick? then u could move Chandler into the 3 slot & Q into the 2 for the rest of this season & draft a SG in the draft w/1 of our 1st round picks & another bigman w/the other.
