Yeah I don't find any use from theKNICKSblog.com posts because all they do is re-hash the news from the real beatwriter blogs. No offense to them cause I think they are doing a good job with what they've got, but its not a site I'm getting any value added from.
Contrast this to Knickerblogger which is almost all original content with a completely unique spin. Thats the kind of stuff I want to see.

Yeah, the new bloggers are posting way too much. They are good writers and they are halfway decent reads, but from those guys, they are semi glorified message board posts that get their own webpage.
I say keep links to each blog for the major newspapers, and if you feel obligated, leave a link to the mainpage to that new Knicks site, with that Tommy Dee guy, on the homepage. Their blogs are definitely clogging up the mainpage though.

I agree 100%, the only ones I'm interested in are the newspaper writer blogs. The Post, Daily News, Newsday, NY Times.
I agree with these and would add the record (Adamek) and Journal News (Dougherty- who might be the best guy outside of Hahn). And also add Knickerblogger

Part of the blogosphere is constant posting... it's what keeps people coming to their site. If people are going to check once a day for their info, theyd rather check out a newspaper's website. For those who are addicted to analysis and information, they want fresh topics whenever they look at a site.
As for how it affects uk, I just think the newspaper article side should serve as an aggregator but the blog side should be more of a manual directory. Not all blog posts are worth while, sometimes just being posted for freshness's sake. Having blog posts being constantly published to the frontpage, not all of which are quality entres, I believe is a detriment to the site.

yeah, that one blog that posts four times a day often just makes a post to post about something another blog reported, with a link to the other report. it seems to clog up the feed. just my two cents.

Well, I'm not shocked since SNY is behind theKNicksblog.com.
They are of the daytime sportstalk radio variety, which is often ridiculous and full of loudmouths...
oh wait...
that's actually the name of one of the SNY segments on TV...with that horrendous talk radio guy that has sounds like he has throat cancer, and a panel of angry white males with stereotypical NY/NJ accents.
How original.
I rarely watch them except to catch extended local team highlights, since MSGNY is an even bigger joke most of the time. As soon as the SNY "analysts" come on, I switch the channel. We have far more sophisticated and balanced posters on this forum, and many of our "loudmouths" are at least often funny, and on the Elba forum, who I'd rather read.

Good feedback. Andrew and I may scale back on some of the non-newspaper blogs until we get a filtering system in... which has definitely been on our larger plate for a while. Thanks for thread and feedback.

A filtering system would almost be as good as the search function you installed. Thank you again.

I like theKnicksBlog because it does update frequently. How about Martin/Andrew just display the two most recent blogs from any one source, that way, if a certain blog updates 4 times a day, you only see the two most recent updates. Most of us check in more than once per day anyway, and if you want to see older blogs, the blog site itself will have links to them.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.
