I think Junior fills a need cuz Jared and Gallo are hurt going into the season. Chandler going down scared me cuz the Knicks that would mean Q is the only option @ the 3. Junior is probably valuable that way more than anything.

Roberson has Nate, Craw, Marbs, Duhon and Collins ahead of him plus Q for stints.....3-4 guys would have to get hurt to really need to play Roberson.

Big Turd deserves to be the one, but his contract won't be bought out by Dolan... Roberson serves no purpose, he should get cut... like u pointed out PEJ gives us some depth at the SF spot which we currently need w/Gallo & Jefferies both sidelined w/injuries.

Walsh is working on a trade I can guarantee that...to try to trim us to 15. That's his style.

If he can't get what he likes then he will probably have to bite the bullet and cut Roberson.

Ewing JR would be the other candidate but I'm pretty certain his deal is also guaranteed (By either SAC or HOU prior to trade) - but - I'd bet it's cheaper than Roberson's so maybe EwJr gets the cut.

Yet, Roberson has been a complete HACK.

Does Walsh have that stupid pride thing though? Where he'd cut Ewing to save face on rushing to sign Roberson? I don't get that feeling from him.

For 2008/2009, Roberson is guaranteed $797,581. And a team option for 2009/2010
PE Jr is guaranteed $442,114.

The difference is $355,467.

We are going to pay the total of the 2 salaries anyway. So why not keep the better player?

(Unless, there is a trade, a 2 for 1 deal. Like trading Curry + Roberson for 1 player + 1st round draft pick)

Hopefully someone wastes a 2nd round pick for Mardy and we keep Pat Ewing.

whoever Roberson has for an agent, he deserves huge props for negotiating that much guaranteed money for a complete scrub.
