True or False: David Lee will lead the league in rebounds per game.

I think there's very good chance of it happenning. I think, if he can stay healthy and out of foul trouble, he could possibly pull down more boards than Superman or Amare. Especially with the 7SOL offense we're running now. More shots to go up, more shots to miss, more rebounds to retrieve. At the very least, he'll get a career high in boards but I think there's a shot he could lead the league - it's not that far-fetched, IMO.

Too much competition with Zach for rebounds for him to lead the league.

No. But he'll certainly be among the elite, if' he gets good minutes. We got a ways to go before we can make any judgements at this time.

no way he'll lead the league in rebounds... like nyk said he's competing w/Zach & Chandler for boards & there's way too many other great rebounders in the league like Dwight Howard, Marcus Camby, Tyson Chandler, etc. to compete with stats wise.

him and zack will have more combiner rebounds than any other 2 teammates in the nba prolly, just gotta stay healthy

Hell no. I just don't see him keeping up last seasons stats when he gets 30++ minutes. To avg 10/10 in 29 minutes is one thing, to keep that up as a starter is an entirely different matter.

I think you got it.

When was the last time 2 Knicks averaged 10 rebounds a game for a season. Oak and Ewing? I'm enjoying watching these guys play together......I'm hoping they stay Healthy and stay Knicks so they can achieve this.

Funny cuz both these guys were almost traded......the cream has risen, caca poo's.

I don't see Lee leading the League due to Zach's presence, but the two of them are impossible to keep off the boards. They just have a knack for getting in position and reading where the shot will come off. All we need now is a shot blocker and this team could really improve defensively. I hope Jared will give us some of that when he comes back, until we can find a more pure shot blocking presence. I'm satisfied with our frontcourt now that Lee has a jumper.

So you don't see David Lee averaging a 10/10 with more minutes this season?

David in 3 pre-season games is putting up 19/10.....in about 33 minutes per.

Wow, really? I definitely see the stats going up bro. With a few more minutes as a starter and with the improved offensive game I don't think 16/10 or 17/10 is out of the question - he might even give us more than that.

Yea..you're right. But I don't think he can average the 13 or 14 you need to lead the league.

If he has the motor to stay on the floor for 35 minutes a night he has a shot. The thing that helps him is the massive volume of shots that go up in a game where there is a Mike D coached team. No reason he and Zach cant average 12 each, but my guess Lee averages 12 and Zach gets 10

I think with the amount of shots we will be putting up he will be in the Top10 and possibly even the Top 5. But with Zach, Q, Chandler all competting for rebounds I don't think he will lead the league.
