i was thinking of two things for a get together next wednesday... 1. regular old drinks at a bar OR 2. the first ever ultimateknicks pitch and putt golf invitational at flushing meadows park... it's 18 holes, longest hole is 80 yards, all that's needed is a pitching wedge and a putter (which they rent there for $1 a piece). it's about $15 to play, takes about 2 hours, and they sell beer on the course. it's a fun time. let me know if this interests you...

date would be wednesday 9/24...

btw, it's easy to get to flushing meadows - just take the 7 train from midtown and it takes 25 mins...

and don't worry, you don't need to know how to play golf to play. it's fun regardless...

If you did that on a Saturday or Monday night, I could make it, but other than that, it's an unfortunate no go.

True indeed. I moved to brutally hot Montgomery for employment in June. I've never lived in the south before. I like it but if I'd gotten a comparable job in the northeast I would have taken it instead.

Many moons ago I started a thread daming get togethers......nobody wants to meet up or they live out of state.
