So if I understand it correctly, the Knicks are talking of signing this guy Roberson. They are high on this guy because they say he 'can shoot the basketball'. The Roberson contract is 'extremely' doable because it's a very reasonable contract. The roster is already 16 guaranteed contracts, and they have to dump one. There's talk of Jerome going first and talk of the brass getting dizzy about dumping starbury's large contract, with the possibility of someone else picking him up. What to do, what to do? Here's some suggestions below. If none of them fit your taste, then give your own idea of what to do about this situation. In either scenario, Jerome goes' to get the roster down to 15. Now about Roberson?

Possibly trade someone else, for a future draft pick, to keep starbury contract, sign Roberson?

Send Roberson somewhere to play, buy out starbury contract later in the year and sign Roberson?

It's a tough contract to get rid of, but the plus side is it's his last year. There's the matching up thing and all. We'd have to get about two to three guys in the trade, unless someone else makes 21 mil., etc. etc. etc.
I'll never trust this' team again.

On second thought, maybe we can offer James in there also. That would probably be a possibility also, because his contract ends the following year. Hmmm.

But we already have the spots locked up, so non of this may not work at all. We're do we put them? You can't!

I hear you, but there are several ways to make that happen and no reason to hurry (except team chemistry, but a high draft pick might. I think the move is to try and boost Marbs value by running him through Mike's offense and then trade him to a contender later in the season, if possible. No reason to make a quick decision except team chemistry... but a lack of chemistry results in a high draft pick.

i vote not only to give Roberson Steph's #3, but that Marbury's also made to clean out his locker & hang up Roberson's name plate in place of his while he's at it.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

But how do you match 21 mil? The only way I can see it is, we take two' guys, that add up to 20 mil at least, put in starbury's spot and then buy out the other guys contract immediately. Or one for three contracts, use one to fill spot and buy out the other two. Maybe even trade them both for a draft pick??? Can we do that?
