I said Other, meaning I'd rather have Russell Westbrook.

Bayless is short tweener scoring guard. This draft is too important to spend the pick on a player like that.

I like Westbrook's tenacity, work ethic, defensive ability, athleticism and I think he has a higher ceiling as a PG.

at this point i'm putting my faith in Walsh to do what's best for this franchise w/that pick, whether he uses it in a trade or takes a prospect he thinks will help our team the most over the longterm.

tough question, totally digging Westbrook as well, I'd probably pick Bayless or Westbrook.

I'd go with Bayless. But Westbrook is tempting.

I like Westbrook But I'm not sure if I'd go with him over Bayless. I'd have to think about it. THe Main reason Westbrook is my pick is because im assuming the top 5 players drafted will be, mayo, bayless, lopez, rose, and beasley.

agreed. You look at his history at GM and may have overvalued or undervalued but he's never really been spot on wrong.

I expect a LOT of movement from us on draft day. Dont be suprised to see us draft a guy for another team, buy picks, move up/down and make trades.

I'd take Bayless. For the simple reason even though Westbrook has tenancity and a great work ethic he still isn't a very good shooter. A point guard that shoots 60% from the line. we already have Mardy who does the same thing. Mardy has defensive tenacity but can't shoot a lick. Westbrook is more athletic but for all the work he puts in he still isn't a very good shooter and thats scary. I like defense like the next guy on the board here but to me a point that can knock down shots and play solid defense is what I'm looking for from a top 10 pick.

Westbrook isn't a terrible shooter. He has a decent jumper but it lacks NBA 3 pt range. He can develop that as he gets stronger.

The last thing I want at PG is someone who shoots a lot.

I think Bayless is a Steve Francis clone (the young Stevie Franchise, not the sorry Knick version of the player).

Bayless - Steve Nash has been schooling the young man from Phoenix.

I think Bayless will be gone with Seattle's 4th pick. They seem to have their sights locked on him.

Agree with every word on Bayless. And I even think Mardy Collins can be even more useful than you've made him out to be here.

I also agree with JrZyHuStLa - he'll be gone by #6. That's why we should be thinking about trading up to get him. Been saying it for weeks now. No way in my mind does Seattle not take him at #4. This is the guy for the Knicks folks. Donnie said they can't afford to get the pick wrong and I agree 100%. Trade up with either Minnesota or Memphis directly or orchestrate a three-way with Memphis & Seattle and lets get this draft right. Use #6 and Eddy Curry to get that done. Save Lee for something else. Bayless is the best "sure thing" that this draft has to offer - no question in my mind. And the fact that he wants to be a point guard, loves D'Antoni's system and has worked out with Steve Nash before and has pick up some tricks from the two-time MVP just cements it for me.

If this doesn't happen and we select at #6 - I probably take Randolph then look into dealing a Lee package for a mid-1st rounder in the 10-15 range & draft JaVale McGee. Trading down with Portland to get Sergio Rodriguez and their 1st rounder at #13 is also something they should look at.

yeah, i figure if he doesn't see anyone worthwhile at the #6, he might trade down for multiple picks & try to package 1 of them w/1 of our bad contracts to get them off the payroll... i would be more than satisfied to go that route... the only thing i don't wanna see is him trading the pick away for someone like Baron Davis... that would be an Isiah move if there ever was one.

If the Knicks can trade with a team like the Nets where they can still get a lottery pick and a second first round pick I think you do it. I do not hold Bayless in the same regard as I hold Mayo. Mayo is as close to a sure thing as you can get in this draft. I do not think that if you took him number one three years after the draft anyone could criticize you.

Without a doubt we should pick him up if he is available. Bayless is raw talent that can not be ignored.

it seems like you are not the only one... so far in the pre-draft camps, he is drawing rave reviews.... He may be the lottery sleeper...
