At this point in Eddy's career I think it's impossible to gain any more weight (atleast I hope not). So with that said how much weight do you think he will actually lose this year if he returns as the center of our Knicks.

To answer the poll, sure, if he does his normal summer regiment he will drop about 20-30 pounds as he always does each offseason.

Until last summer...where he never worked out with Grover nor QBrick (both were false articles)... Curry's MO was to gain weight all season long and then lose the weight during the summer. He did it every year as a Bull and his first two as a Knick. It's one of those things that baffled the Bulls and then us but it's just what happens with him.

Hopefully, he at least returns to the norm, and at least loses the 20-30 pounds (he needs to drop 50+ no doubt about it) he loses every offseason (until last, where he lost none, then gained 30 pounds during the season).

He'd usually end a year around 310-325 and then come to camp at like 285-300. Then repeat the process.

Two seasons ago he left us at over 300 pounds, lost no weight during the summer, then finished last year at what... 330? More? He was the fattest I'd ever seen him towards the end of last season.

If he comes in at 330 and not 300 he's going down during the year no doubt about it. He needs to come in at 285 so he has room to balloon up as he does every year without turning into a winded sloppy mess by February.

No wonder he has heart problems.

It's amazing that he loses a few pounds in the offseason but then puts on a ton of weight during the season. It doesn't make any sense.

That NBA catering for pre-game and post-game meals is probably the problem.

If the dude could get and keep his weight around 265-270, he would be a freaking all-star or at least a competent starter because his defense and offense would likely improve with the increase in mobility. Why can no keep this guy in shape? Hell, hire a Tim Glover clone to monitor him all year long if they need to. It is one thing for an average guy who works 40 hours a week to not stay in shape, but Curry spends basically the entire year exercising as part of his job. It should not be that hard to lose weight.

I don't expect anything from Curry anymore. He doesn't seem to take this seriously and he never struck me as commited. I want him gone.

He's been out with that leg injury. I see him milking that and coming back 30 pounds HEAVIER.

More reason to want me to trade him THIS offseason, while he still has some value. If he comes back 30 lbs heavier, NOBODY will want him.

I don't get it either, cuz guys always complain about losing too much muscle and size as the season goes. That to me makes sense with the crazy cardio involved in an 82 game season. Eddy is a waste. Why play if you dont wanna be great. His contract is guarenteed. Why doesn't he just tank it like Jerome James

No way he should still be trying to figure out his weight problems after this many years in the league.

Maybe if Isiah worked them harder in practice...hell maybe if Isiah actually held practices, Curry would have kept his weight down.

Too bad D'Antonio doesn't believe in long hard practices either.

At this point in his life if he hasnt gotten his weight under control I dont see much hope of it happening. He clearly is not committed to it.

Knowing what we know about Curry you can bet he comes in the worst shape of his life. The man absolutely has no desire to be the best or for that matter good. If there was ever a player just in it for the pay check and there are a lot of them Curry is it.

Theres a reason Eddy always dropped double digit points in the first half and then didnt do anything in the second. Its because his fat ass had nothing left. How do you get paid 10 million a year and you cant even be in shape?

I remember I tried to tell SugaRay and/or Cosucks it was comical how people would buy in he'd lost weight in the off-season and nullify him gaining during the season. What I don't understand and let's forget the disparity of his lose weight/gain weight and the timeliness, how does a professional basketball player who plays 4-5 games a week for 6mos, avg about 30min/gm when healthy and practices when the games aren't being played gain any weight at all if it isn't muscle weight gain? I wonder if Curry cheats in the off-season with Meds?

I also wonder if he takes diet pills in the offseason. There was alot of speculation that his heart problem/irregularity was related to something he took to lose weight.

He took Ephedra back in Chicago and I wonder if he cheats with some other drug and then quits in enough time before the season starts?

Curry has to show me he can lose the weight. He has to show me hot that he can, but that he will rebound and play defense. I'm not saying that I'm sure it won't happen, but after being disappointed before, I need to see it before I begin to believe it.

That's a very fair and excellent question.

Curry's past "heart problems" were allegedly attributed to dietary supplements. The way his weight seems to go down slightly in the offseason when players aren't tested compared to how his weight consistently goes up during the season, would lead one to believe that he's still using some kind of dietary supplements.
