Would you move Crawford to PG and make a run Ben Gordon for the expirng contracts of marbury and malik? This may solve our PG troubles and would allow us to focus on the best available talent in the draft... As a Knick fan, I have always feared Gordon... he is a very dynamic weapon to stretch out an opposing defenses.

No; Crawford should stay at SG... he will never mature in to a leader and good decision maker.

No; Nate has the makings of a good PG.

Yes; I like the idea of giving Crawford to be our PG, SG is an easier position to fill

No; we just need to draft good players and wait for everyone else's contact to expire over the next 4 years.

No; I like the idea of targeting a PG in the draft... even we can't draft a pure PG that has size and plays D

He's the closest thing in the NBA to Jamal Crawford. He's a pure chucker who'll shoot 60% on certain nights and 25% on other nights. We have absolutely no need for this guy. He's nowhere near being a consistent everyday player, let alone being an all star. The Knicks need to stop going after these typical guards, as the come a dime a dozen. Mike Miller, Michael Redd, etc. Nothing but a franchise caliber player who has a high basketball IQ will change the Knicks basketball wise. As for all of the other garbage, nothing will change that except for Isiah's dismissal.

neither is a point so why try and make them one. On the flip side Gordon is much better than Crawford. do what Pax did if you get a Ben Gordon: ship Crawford

Yes, let the Knicks do whatever Chicago does. Their great management has allowed Chicago to be sitting pretty on top of the East right now.

lmao! Bulls have had a pretty good run the prior 3 seasons...a run even the most sarcastic of Knicks fans would've gladly swapped for.

and while we are stuck with our mistakes for the life of their contracts, Pax managed to free Chicago of Ben Wallace's presence

You can go back to starting threads that end up in deciding to hire a hit on Isiah and Dolan if that is more your cup of tea.
If you haven't noticed, we are coming off another humiliating performance... should we be talking about why Chandler did not get more time... or why Q hasn't been able to hit a shot since he was in Phoenix or how David Lee can jump and be so white???

Seriously, its been hell being a Knick fan the last 3 months!
I want to find some hope!!! We have no ****ing Hope!!!

3 months ago, I thought this team had a legitimate PG, an emerging force at C, a SF that could be a factor on offense and played inside out on offense.
3 months ago I had hope.

last year people were on Ben Gordon's jock like there was no tomorrow... i brought up the notion that i felt he was a very similar player to Jamal but i guess that opinion wasn't very popular around here back then.

actually if u ask me, Jamal's much more suited to be a point than Gordon is from what i can see... he's more of a playmaker than Gordon is IMO... Gordon is more of a shotmaker... both make clutch shots down the stretch, but can also go very cold in spurts also.

Bulls are actually trying to do what Isiah has been trying to do. Rebuild on the fly. Bringing in Ben I think was an attempt to "win now" but not trash the future.

The Kobe thing and Skiles really derailed them, as well as Gordons contract making him a head case and Dengs not getting healthy enough has hurt them.

Heinrich is good enough and the bulls should be fine going forward. Ty and Noah are a nice core to build up front but one needs an outside shot. If this "New NBA" thing is for real then they have a very athletic front line. Actually Deng is the slow one of the trio.

Somtimes it all comes together, and sometimes it all blows up in your face. The Bulls could be a nice comeback story next year once they sort their direction out.

I like Jamal enough and would be interesting to see what he could do on a good team in a specific role. Being the first option on this dysfunctional squad one can't see the value.

Might say that about most of our team.

We need to gut this team and build a culture different than this.

Yes, we should continue to make our undersized shot-happy, no defense and no passing backcourt even more potent by adding a guy like Ben Gordon.

Trust the Process

I wouldn't mind having Ben Gordon. Although he's undersized, he's got a great stroke and can score from anywhere on the court. I wouldn't like the idea of having to pay him what he he's going to ask for though.

from a pure fan perspective I would love to see Gordon in the triangle playing off Kobe and Pau.

nalod, when you say gut the team, do you mean getting rid of every single player, or attempt to keep guys like crawford, lee and balkman?

Right, I think Crawford is far more suited to play PG than Gordon is, strictly because Jamal has the skills to put the ball on the floor and doesn't need someone to get him open, he can create shots for himself. Gordon is more of a shooter, while Crawford can be labeled just as much as a shooter too.

Crawford is a more valuable commodity when you position him as a PG. You don't have many 6'5" PGs in general - and that gives Crawford a big advantage. He can take advantage of his height to see over his typical defenders as well as get his shot off against almost anyone.
Yeah, he might be a terrible defender, but his length at least make him a pain in the butt with passing lanes as well as a little more of a challenge to get the shot off against.
