Starphucking = statwhoring for guys with reputations for being stars. I'd call Francis, Marbury, and Zach starphucking, but Curry and Jamal just statwhores! Marbs, Francis, and Zach are technically star-phuck-stat-whoring lazy bastards!

Depends on who it is. Layden wasn't huge on that. I mean, the worst contract he traded for was Keith Van Horn, and that wasn't starphucking. That was his love for his Utah affiliations, and Dolan seemed to tolerate that.
Eisley's and Anderson's contracts were bad too, but it was well known amongst everyone was those weren't stars. Layden just overpaid those mofos.
The main starphuck Layden did was sign Houston to that contract. McDyess was a soon to be expiring contract, but I guess that was a big starphuck because of the picks we gave up.
So basically, those 2 moves were his big starphucks. Isiah prolly doubled that. Z-Bo, Curry, Marbury, Francis, Crawford (Treated him like he was going to be a star), Larry Brown. Am I missing anyone???

The rest of the NBA has adjusted to the salary cap and is now asking for a return on their investment.
We are still living in the days where every player that came out of college was a "franchise player." We are still beleiving the hype and not adjusting.
I just hope that people will like me

McDyess was the classic Layden starphuck. The team had reached a crossroads and had very little in the way of young talent. But he made the choice to "go for it" by taking back the big name vet rather than trying to develop a Wilcox, Nene, Amare, Jeffries etc. or any of the guys that was being bandied about as a big man prospect.

And there were MANY reports that he had a Marbury trade in the works before he got fired. He became a starphucker and Isiah picked up where Layden left off. Who the next GM is matters only if Dolan gives that GM full authority.

We won't get another gm until isiah contract is up.
It is what it is and it's not going on sale.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
