Jerome Turd James... i expected him to be bought out this season, but i was bitterly disappointed that he wasn't.

seriously tho, i'll say Mardy Collins... i thought he'd get more playing time & would improve on what he showed towards the end of last season when he was starting games.

everyone else has pretty much lived up to whatever expectation i had going into the season

Eddie Curry.
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

Eddy. When we got him, I expected him to be at least an all-star if not a franchise player. I bought the crap Isiah spewed. I was that gullible.

Stephon Marbury and Eddy Curry are tied for this one.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Based on underperformance from expectations and potential, I'd rank those players as

Eddy
Steph
Zach
Jamal
Jerome
Nate
Q (can't blame him for his bad back)
Lee (as the 30th pick, he's been the exact opposite of a disappointment!)

It's EY Curry by a wide margin. It's not even close when looked at objectively.

No contest...
Eddy is the best.
He must be a beast
And he became a bust
But he is just the one
From all this outcast
Owner is a moron
And GM is pederast

Quentin Richardson. Everyone else is the same player they've always been, so how could they not live up to expectation?

Q is coming off back surgery in the off season-

Just think about that- they cut his back open.

He gets a pass. At least he tries- and he probably shouldn't be out there.

Eddy had his best year last year- and he follows it up with this stinker?

Sure, he has to co-exist with Zach- but zach hasn't been around and EC is still the man.

Or child.

I gotta go with Steph - he was brought in to be the face of the franchise and look at what's happened. I know you can't pin it all on him, and I still like him - but I gotta say I am pretty disappointed.

the question was about this season, not in general... after last year & after not addressing the team balance in the offseason, did anyone really expect Curry, Marbs or anyone else to have a real impact on this team this year?

I think Marbury is the most disappointing player because he is suppose to playing at an all-star level.

Oh, I didn't see that he said "this season." I'd still put Eddy first because he showed up fatter than last season and is playing worse than last year. Our franchise player needs to improve not regress each season.

who voted lee a dissapointment?

the guy is doing what we all expect. Plays hard, rebounds and scores around the hoop.. unless some of you had these unrealistic expectations of him morphing into Dirk..... geez

Lee's numbers aren't too far off of last year considering he's getting significantly fewer minutes and that Zach has been a big presence on the boards. Sure he's not shooting 60%, but did anyone really think he could sustain that?

Wow, Lee gets a pass for everything. He starts out slow, well then he must be injured!

He hasn't improved his game since last year on defense and he hasn't improved his shot at all. Near as I can tell he started the season out of shape and he has been playing himself into shape.

Lee is another player on a team that is playing poorly. Other guys have had stretches where they looked good, Randolph, Curry, Marbury, and Crawford. He hasn't been making the difference, just like them. Lee is just as disappointing as the rest of the team -- if he is evaluated with any type of fair eye.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
