Billy Donovan would take it if we make him the highest paid coach of all time. Mark Jackson makes the most sense, he could be another Avery Johnson. Patrick Ewing would bring in the fans and is the sentimental pick. Paul Salis gives us the best chance at winning.

No to Jackson, Ewing(why subject him to this?), and Silas. Donovan would be interesting but I'd rather go with Tom Thibodeau, the best assistant in the game. This guy is a defensive mind. Or I'd go with Rick Carlisle.

This is is assuming we clear out this crappy roster.

Carlisle is ideal but you can't argue Patrick Ewing as a coach. He might give Curry the swift kick in the azz and get him going.

Why do you have two polls, this one having 2 more options than the other. Still no Rick Carlisle on this one. Paul Silas is not a very good coach.

Paul Westphal makes a lot of sense.

But- for Ewing- you give him carte blanche - the power LB never had.

Marbury talks back- exile him.

Same goes for Curry & Randolph.

Ewing has been working with young players- Yao & Dwight. I think he can work with both Zach & Curry until one can be traded.

We throw in the towel on the season- Dolan can feel good about having Ewing be a fan draw.

Ewing & Jackson = mediocre

To tell you the truth, I grow tired of slick dress guys who just stand there (or sit) with no animation. We need character on the side lines, leading this team, close to coming out on the floor themselves. We need someone who will slip and wipe out, because they went out there and wanted to be seen and heard. I just don't see this in Ewing or Jackson. And watching Isiah's 'playing it cool' look doesn't work well either. Van Gundy was the last man to do that. Yes' playa, that's right Jeff Van Gundy. Spell it right!
I'll never trust this' team again.

no coach is going to fix this mess until we fix the roster... the 1 guy i thought could actually make these players play hard for him was Isiah & we've all pretty much seen what a disaster that's turned out to be... the ending result is still a 38-40 win team at best no matter who you bring in to coach this team... this is what we're stuck with until we fix the roster.
