DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

If it happened I think Dolan would wait until the All Star break. I don't believe he has the stomach for a huge shake up right now. I think he's gonna give this as much time as he possibly can to correct itself. I could be wrong, but I just get the sense that he's reluctant to bust up the season so early. Then again maybe that would be the best shot to salvage things if it's done early enough. But does Dolan have the guts to do it tho? That's what I question.

After the Anucha appeal. No way they fire him before that, because it would look like the organization didn't support his innocence in the warped mind of the MSG.

New Years. Now if Isiah get's fired does that mean Marbury will be bought out?

Nope, dont see Doaln eating that one up.

He would have to pay almost all of Marbury salary and if not the whole thing he will have to pay $38-$40 mil of Steph's $42mil

Good points. I don't think Dolan is buying out anyone. Example Jerome James. If he does buy out Marbury it will be next year or trade him next year. If we get a new GM he probably will just let the Marbury's contract expire.

You could be right if the team is too inconsistent, nix, but if the team loses enough games, it looks like the players aren't responding, and the fans start turning on Isiah at MSG like they did Layden, I think we could see Isiah's departure before the break. It's really hard to tell what will happen, if the team say wins tonight, loses to Denver, and then comes home.

How will the fans respond? I think the chants may start quietly, especially if the team has periods of subpar performance in the first game back and MSG. The crazy thing is this team is still so inconsistent that some will still see the qualities the team possesses when they make runs or comebacks and keep a smidgen of hope. How long that can be sustained is the question in that circumstance if the team is not playing close to .500 ball nor seeming to be a playoff contender.

Going 0-4 on this trip would put a lot of pressure on Dolan, but he may wait for at least one game at MSG to see how the fans respond. My guess is that if this happens it could get ugly, but crazier things have happened and the team could pull out a win against a team like GS.

It's just so hard to predict, from my standpoint, but the only cure for Isiah's future is clearly going to be more consistent positive play from the team and victories.

Be careful nixluva. You're starting to sound awfully pessimistic lately. "Salvage things"? That would insinuate that something has gone horribly wrong. If you question whether or not Dolan has the guts to "do it", then you must think that things aren't as rosy as you have always maintained them to be and that Isiah deserves to be fired.

Come to the Dark Side nixluva. You would be my prized convert. The Haters Crown Jewel so to speak.

If the Garden isn't resounding in boos on Tuesday I will be sorely disappointed in my compatriot fans. This regeim is un-root-for-able and the the fans have the power to put their daggers through it's heart. Un-root them with boos throughout and the deed will be done, the Marbury/Thomas era of shame will be over in no time.

But we've become a spineless group, so I expect a smattering of boos during intros, which the Garden will cleverly crush with their sound system, and then the fans will quite down and hope Nate gives them one circus dunk for their dollars so they can go home satisfied.

I think it's because most of the real fans, sans section 404, have left the building. What's left are the very casual fans who are only there to be entertained for that 2 1/2 hour period and don't have a vested interest in the long term direction of the franchise.

there is some truth to this.

the place is filled with alot of people that like the sizzle but not the steak. i knew things were different when the knicks were down 20 one game...we stole the ball and dunked it...and there was a cheer. again, we were down 20 at the time.

People go to Knicks games to entertain clients or bring their kids. There aren't a lot of real fans left in the building.

If thats the cast then that is pretty sad. I think that could be true of a lot of sports these days though (maybe not Football). A lot of it is due to ticket pricing, how can families compete with companies?

On the flip side - if the Knicks are awful, why would companies want to entertain at the game? You at least have to have a good product out on the floor.

As far as Zeke getting fired - I give him a few weeks. It seems like the case is being made in the media right now and anymore bad publicity and he will be shown the door. I am surprised he lasted this long.

It's the sizzle not the steak. A luxury box, food, drink, celebrities in the audience, the Garden- its all about making their pitch more than it is about the game.
