If you were GM of the Knicks for a day, and were only allowed to make one trade, and you wanted to trade one of our starters, which starter would it be? Keep in mind you can't trade Crawford for Kobe straight up. Or Marbury for Nash etc... expect to get back an average player in return for whoever you trade away. All that being said, which guy would you move? This projected lineup is Marbury, Crawford, QRich, Z-Bo, and Curry

Curry. He actually has trade value and isn't needed.

I say Q but its a tie between him and marbs.

Q just can't stay healthy. If he could be close to 100% for a whole season he would be fine.

Marbs is good just not deceptive enough. Baron Davis, baron Davis baron Davis!

If the knicks had baron Davis and Stephan Jackson. That would seal the deal.

IMO its Crawford. If we replace him with an average SG I think we improve. He's got to be our weak link. My second choice would be Marbury. I just don't like our backcourt very much. They each have defensive weaknesses and don't really complement each other on offense. If we move one of those guys i'm happy.

I am in agreement here. Backcourt.

Our starting back court players don't compliment each other and our starting front court players don't compliment each other. Other than that, the team is well constructed!

I would replace Curry.

We need defense and defensive rebounding more than scoring.

It's actually really simple when you think about it.

I'll take bad backcourt defense over bad frontcourt defense 10/10 times.

If Curry plays defense, he will catapult us to an elite team. I'm not ready to trade him yet, and no, I'm not a Curry lover.

I'd replace Marbury as soon as I can. He wants to retire soon, his commitment is questionable and we're not winning a championship anytime soon anyway. Gotto move foward.

I agree aswell. The backcourt needs to be revamped. As a scoring pg, Marb isn't the rigth mix two scoring bigs in the post. I applaud Steph for trying to change his game a little and defer to Eddy last season, but Marb just doesn't have those inate PG instincts that you would find in a pure pg. He took less shots, but he still didn't really make anyone better by getting them the ball where they need it, being able to see a play develop before it happens, etc.

Wouldn't mind keeping Craw, but he's a sixth man. Q is an oft injured, tweener/power 2 guard. He would be better off comming off the bench aswell.

If Nate was 6-10 he'd be unstoppable.

If Darko wasn't a horrible rebounder he'd be an awesome rebounder

If Yao was 6-1 he wouldn't be in the NBA.

Bobs, Nate and Yao can't control their heights. Curry can easily be an elite rebounder/defender whenever the hell he wants. He just needs to get into the work ethic and realize he needs to do more besides score in the low post.

* If Dennis Rodman was an average rebounder he wouldn't have been an elite rebounder.

* If Pau Gasol wasn't blocking 2 shots a game, he would be Zach Randolph with a better attitude.

* If Dwight Howard wasn't freakishly strong, then his muscles wouldn't look as big.

* If Jamal Crawford scored like Allen Iverson, he'd make like 15 million dollars a year.

* If Jeff Van Gundy had hair..............then he wouldn't be bald.

Quentin Richardson - his back is problemmatic and the two guard can be manned-up by a combination of Renaldo (defense) and Demetris (offense)

Marbury. Addition by subtraction.
Trade him for a SG and move JC to PG.
