So we always talk about the best moments in Knick playoff history but what about the worst? Feel free to add any others or rank them in order if you wish.

You gotta include not playing Ro Blackmon in the finals against Houston. I know it's kind of implied in the lettting Starks go 2-18 but it deserves a separate category. I'm still upset at Riley over this one.

Its gotta be the Starks 2-18 but the 1996 brawl and the Ewing finger roll is right up there. Nothing hurt like the Ewing finger roll. That one really hurt. I cringe even today from when I start thinking about it.

That brawl still leaves the most sour of tastes in my mouth.

The brawl certainly was bad. That year was probably the best chance we would of had at beating the Bulls. Ive never been of fan of "getting suspended for leaving the bench area" ever since.

But even then I dont think it can compare to Starks in Game 7. The championship was right there for the taking! In game 7 as well as game 6!

One thing about Starks shooting that game. Riley kept telling him to shoot. It was a blunder, but it was on Riley, not Starks.

Brawl. I feel like something was taken from us that year. I still feel cheated.

For the Ewing missed layup and the Starks game 7 I feel like we gave it our all and it just didn't work. Heartbreaking, but I don't have any sense of injustice.

It's a shame we've been so bad all decade that we haven't even had the chance to make a playoff blunder!

Most recent playoff blunder: not getting into a brawl with the nets. Though Frank Williams did stand up to Jason Kidd... too bad that didn't turn into anything. I would have loved to see those two go at it.

It's gotta be the Smith one, just out of pure comedy:

"Smith, Smith, Smith, blocked, Smith, blocked, Smith!"

lmfao.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Starks certainly had the biggest blunder. You forgot to mention that in game six of the 1994 NBA finals, agains Houston, Ewing was having a great inside game and all you had to do is keep feeding him the ball, in which was happening. We had the last shot and we had our first championship since the early 70's at hand. But Starks, rather than feed the hot hand the last shot inside, he decided to take it himself and be the hero. Just like the loser he proved to be, he missed the entire rim. Of course Hakeem went off on the Knicks in game seven and we never recovered. I never forgave that asshold Starks since. He used to drive me out of my mind. On several occasions, when they would play the bulls, the Knicks would be down to the last shot, to win a game and there was Starks, losing the ball on a dribble. Getting it stolen or turning it over with a few seconds left over. One time he even dribbled it off his foot, out of bounds, losing a game. That guy had great Knick heart, but he sucked as a clutch player. They should have left him bagging groceries in the supermarket.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I will also say bishop, losing to the bulls 5 out of 6 playoff series was pretty tough to take to. The jordan led bulls owned us, no question about that.

Nah' you still have to blame starks. He was a professional player (I assume that's why he got signed) and should have lived up to his own hype. He always sounded like..........hhmmm...............like maybe what suckbury sounds like today.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I think when Ewing took just a few steps off the bench in the play offs against Miami and he got suspended.
Now Dunkin came off the bench last seasons playoffs and they didn't suspend him. I think the refs should be investigated, and also Sterns. He knew that if he suspended Ewing the Knicks were done and the letter of that law of suspension should not be hard nose. Maybe it should depend on how bad the infraction is. Maybe suspend him for a Quarter but not the whole game. I never forgave Sterns for that. He might as well just said don't play the final game and I'll give it to Miami because thats what he did.
Starks bled Orange and Blue blood. I remembe when the Knicks made the finals with Alan Houston and Spree and Starks was no longer a Knick. They a picture of Starks at the game and you could see in his eyes even though he was with another team it was plain to see that Starks would always be a Knick at heart. Many times Starks left everything he had on the Knicks floor.

If Jordan didnt retire we would of lost to the Bulls in 1994 as well. I mean it took us 7 games to beat the Bulls without Jordan.

Game 6 by Starks was also a blunder but Hakeem made a great defensive play to get a hand on that ball. Starks and Crawford are similar in shot selection, he clearly should of gave it to Ewing. Even then, i cant forget the 2-18. All he had to do was give Ewing the damn ball 3 or 4 times.

Maybe we have to blame Riley for encouraging all the shooting. I think Tim Hardaway similarly had a 0-18 game in the playoffs one year under Riley.

I just don't remember Hakeem actually touching the ball. Starks took an ill advised shot and he got distracted by the hand in the face, but I don't think he actually touched the ball. Did he in fact touch it? Either way, it was the all-time Knick ill advised shot. He blew our one and only chance during the bull run. That just sucked all of the momentum out of the team. You just knew game seven was going to be tough. Oh well.
I'll never trust this' team again.

That brawl still leaves the most sour of tastes in my mouth.

The brawl was as if the league said we are going to punish the Knicks in a way that all but guarantess they dont advance when we know they are the better team. It dismantled our team with key players suspended during each game. It was just wrong. I ****ing hate David Stern.
