Assuming no more trades AND a healthy Q (I know, major assumptions) ... Which of the following two rotations would you most like to see this season?

So, basically the question is do you start Craw or Balkman. I like Balkman better, but I voted for Craw, because with Zach and Curry as our primary offensive options, we need as much outside shooting as we can to stretch the d. Craw isn't a great shooter, but he's light years ahead of Balkman in that respect.

Yeah, I forgot about Jeffries. We've got to either release, trade or just plain sit the guy, because it will be a crime if he takes one minute away from either Balkman or Lee.

I think between Marbury and Q, we'll be decent enough there. I think that Balkman's other strengths will far outweigh his shooting deficiencies.

I can't understand how anyone can be an advocate of starting jamal? We aren't going to need to stretch the defense as much because of Eddy and Zach both commanding double teams. Crawford shot it at 32% from three last season 40% from the field which is below average......

DEFENSE? DEFENSE? DEFENSE? DEFENSE?

Does anyone realize the importance of not getting blown out of every first quarter much the same way we did last year, balkman or crawford if you had to pick the importance of one it's not even a question that second chance points, high % scoring, rbs, blks, and defense is what the starting unit needs.

Marbury and Q are better three point shooters, and we need an additional defender on the floor to make up for our frontcourt defense. Jamal should be getting at most 25 minutes a night, i really don't see how he is that much more effective than nate at the present time. Morris isn't really going to be all that effective he is an extra body like you said if someone gets into foul trouble........

If you watched towards the end of the season although we really struggle to win games we were almost always in them and it's by no accident, collins and balkman were tremendous at being active providing some energy and defense. Add lee, richardson in and substract jefferies and your only getting better, and when you look at maximizing players you don't have to leave the 4 or 5 out there all that long just feed them let them get the bigs into trouble and then punish some more.

I really enjoyed the fact the Nate and Francis were in for Crawford, while Q and Lees were played by better Defensive players. Stop with the hating

The knicks are better when Crawford starts and I would rather Balkman at the 3 or Q.

It's not hate. It's looking at the numbers and watching the games. JC should not start, we have better options. You bring him in off the bench, if he's hot you ride him, otherwise, leave him on the bench because he's not doing anything else out there.

There is a difference between hating and being an idiot......

If you enjoy high turnover players without defense and poor shooting over hustle, defense and rebounding your obviously not a hater......

Marbury 33 Collins 15
Q 30 Crawford 22
Balkman 30 Nate 8-10 minutes
Randolf 35 Lee 30
Curry 30 Jefferies 10

That should be the minute breakdown, and it gives you a top 5 rebounder at three positions sg, sf, pf at their position and if gives you enough defense to be effective......

This love for crawford is downright dumb, highlights really fool a lot of people, crawford 7 years in the league never won 35 games

We don't have better options. Q is not better then JC. Other then "holding" Lebron to 20 plus points and Tmac having a handful of bad games against the knicks(one time Q was out) I don't understand were this guy gets his defensive lore from. He gets lit up and nobody cares. He defensive impact is not good at all. I personally would start Balkman, we don't need this much stagnation in the offense. We got blown out in a hell of a lot of games because we couldn't score in the first quarter too.

Of our top five players, Q is the won we win without the most, it is mind numbing the respect this average player gets. Hoping to see if Jamaal is hot off the bench is when he plays at his worst. He was starting when you liked him under Brown for the ast six weeks, he was starting when curry was going threw his 20point run, he was starting when we were winning. He plays his best as a starter, saying other wise is false.

Crawford 6'5 190lbs 17.6pts 3.2rbs 4.4ass 2.7tos 40%fg 32%3fg

Richardson 6'6 235lbs 13pts 7.2rbs 1.1ass 1.4tos 41%fg 37%3fg

And you have to take into account crawford shots almost 4 more shots every night, and gives up probably 4 less pts a night on defense which is huge.

If you want to start jamal, you need to take him out when he misses his man or start taking terrible shots, i would rather him come off the bench in a scoring role.......

Crawford, Randolf, Curry are considering below average defenders, marbury is subpar you need balance in the lineup or your ****ed

MS what was the teams record with JC starting and what was the teams record with JC off the bench?

Q is a better spot up shooter an can only defend players he can body. You give him way too much credit. You can't commit Turn overs if you play like a Power Forward and always get the ball to the Guards becaus you can't pass/create.

Crawford is better then Q and has a bigger impact on this team game in and out.

These guys have natural positions based on their games. They are not inter changable like on some video game. You want to put guys in their very best position to succeed. Sure they can fill in for a few minutes here and there but when you play them out of position full time expect bad matchups.

start jefferies. he was injured last year.

likes to play a role of defense and is consistent in his contributions.

I love balkman, but let's get a second year out of him before we anoint him the next best thing (see frye).

let's have the best player start, and let's not assume q is healthy because he "says" he's healthy.

jefferies broke his wrist to start the season, but in preseason was the best sf.

he broke his shooting hand...hence his crappy shot and free throw shooting.

to not include him as an option was/is puzzling as he is the only "true" sf that has started for a playoff team that is on our team.

so, think a bit.
marbs, crawford, jefferies, zach, curry.

craws ability to score and feed the post make him a good selection to start.

qrich is injured (back surgery people) until I get as much video proof that has annointed balkman the paul pierce stopper.

This is why we need to still make some moves. Our line ups are in bad shape when you consider the piece that makes everything work is Q. If Q is healthy and can play, then I put Jeffries in to start ( I think he will come back stronger this year or at least play up to his style when he was a wiz)
With crawford, Lee, Balkman in the second unit with Collins. The only person that can really score is Crawford. It would be nice to retain that punch off the bench. The balance works because you have a bunch of hustle and rebound guys with a guy who likes to shoot and run.
You take Q out of the equation and then you have to start Craw. Now who is coming off the bench to provide scoring power ? Collins ? Nate?
