Would you include Lee in a package for G Wallace?

Just piggy backing on Silverfuels poll with Artest. Most would agree that Artest is a more talented player than Lee, but wouldn't include Lee in a package for him because of his off the court/and on the court for that matter, issues. But G wallace is a player of the same ilk as Artest, minus the headaches. Wallace is a terrific help defender, great shot-blocker from the SF position, good rebounder, and has developed into a very good offensive player. Here are his numbers over the past two years: 05-06 Pts 15 Blks 2.1 Spg 2.5 Rbs 7.5 Fg 53% 06-07 Pts 18 Blks 1.0 Spg 2.0 Rbs 7.2 FG 50% He had a career high 42 on us this year, and about 7-8 other games where he scred over 30. I think If we trade Lee, G Wallace and Balk more than make up for what Lee brings to the table. Energy, rebounding, defense, etc....

it will take more than just D Lee to get G Wallace... you'd have to throw in Balkman & those expirings as well to get CHA interested... then you'd have to take on another huge contract because G Wall is going to command some big dollars over a good amount of years... then you have to ask yourself if it's worth it to give up all that for him.

the reason people are considering Artest is because it would take a lot less in terms of talent & money to get him.

TMS sort of hit it above. It will take more than one prospect to get Wallace, and Lee already is tough to part with. Then Charlotte has to take on a salary of the Craw, Rose, Jefferies, QRich magnitude, and guess what- they have no use for the other 3. Craw+Lee for Wallace. Too much.

More than David Lee to get Gerald Wallace? Perhaps $$$-wise, but certainly not talent or production wise. I wouldn't include Lee in any package that did not return a star to us. Meaning, no to Wallace, Artest etc. if it requires Lee.

As much as I like DLee, I'd have to do this.....in a sensible package!! DLee, Dickcau, and Jones. Throw in J James just for the heck of it.

Can't shoot? He shot 50% last year and 53% the year before. Averaged 18 a game last year and dropped 42 on us. And thats a bonus because his main-stay is his defensive prowess that we so desperately need.

No. Wallace is overrated, IMHO. He's not going to put up numbers close to that in NY.

considering what we would have to give up to get G Wall & how much we'd have to pay him, i'd probably rather take a flyer on Artest & see how he works out.

He's a very good player, but he's not so good from behind the arc. If we trade Lee for a swingman, he should have a good 3 point shot.

Wallace is basically a rich man's Balkman. I would love him on the team, but I think Balkman will continue to develop and may turn into a Wallace-type player. Our best bet right now is patience.

Wallace isn't as good as everyone here thinks. When I see Wallace I think Tony Campbell of the T-Wolves Gaudy numbers but That came as the result of being given the green light. As soon as Tony Campbell put on the orange and blue his number weren't so impressive.
