I think we should look to move nate and frye in some package or even frye/crawford.

I think Josh Childress is a great player to target through a trade he has really improved, Pietrus or Stevenson are also solid options. Stevenson is improving his game and is still very young.

Childress 13pts 6.3rbs 2.3ass 1.1stls 51%fg 80%
Pietrus 11.6pts 4.8rbs 0.8ass 0.7stls 48%fg 63%
Stevenson 10.5pts 2.6rbs 2.5ass 1.0stls 48% 70%

They are taking 9 shots a game and being very effecient and all are solid defenders. I think Stevenson could end up being better on offense as well.

I would not mind moving Nate and Frye for Childress and a future draft pick. Like you said, he is really improving and is a solid all-around player. He is a decent 3pt shooter, plays defense, and can pass the ball. Plus, Atlanta already has Joe Johnson at the SG spot, so they might be willing to do the deal. Stevenson is not bad either (although I would not give up Frye for him). That is who we should have signed to the MLE instead of Jeffries.

frye for Childress straight up.

problem of Isiah's quirky offensive philosophy still doesn't go away however.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

i'd take Stevenson over the other 2... he can create his own shot & plays good, physical defense... w/Q's health a question mark he'd be a nice piece to add some depth to the SG position.

From here on out, I'm all about getting talent through the draft rather than free-agent signings or trades. I like Pietrus the best out of those guys, but I think we can get a better player in this upcoming draft. We have to find a way to acquire an additional 1st rounder.

Childress game is really coming along. He was forced to do alot more this season with Joe Johnson missing so much time. I would like to trade Curry for Childress, Salim and the Hawks pick. I don't see where he will fit on that team now. He will want to much to be a sixth man on that team. I think the Knicks could package Frye to a team like PHX or NJ (it will never happen).
The Hawks have serious money already committed to Claxton and Joe Johnson. Josh Smith and Marvin Williams and the forward spots. And they have money invested in Pauchlia but he is better served at backing up someone like Curry. Moneywise it doesn't make sense but playerwise it makes sense for both teams.

if we can get an extra draft pick i'd agree w/u... but as it stands now, i'd rather use the draft pick to bring in the best shotblocking intimidator i can get my hands on.

Yeah he's decent. Better than Jeffries but not as good as Tayshaun Prince - but in that mold. I view him as a final piece to the puzzle type - only trouble is we're many pieces away. No need for him with Jeffries and Balkman here. We can get as good a player if not better if we can acquire another 1st rounder.
