If you had to choose an announcer to be your GM, which of these guys has impressed you most with their basketball knowledge where you would feel comfortable letting them run your team?

Mark Jackson. He made his career through understanding what his teammates strengths and weaknesses are and he used his brain to make his impact on the game.

Those other 2 were athletes, and not particularly smart players.

Kenny seems way more articulate to me than Mark does.

Greg Anthony. Strikes me as just good at talking about talent. Mark Jackson is more of a coach. I think Houston could also make a good GM too.

I guess I would go with Greg Anthony. I would disagree with you Kam about Anthony not being a smart player, while he wasn't the smartest player on the court, I feel he knew how to play good team basketball and that he understood what it takes to win basketball games.

I would also say a definite NO to Kenny Smith, I don't think the guy has a clue just listening to him do the Knicks games and on the TNT set.

i agree i think kenny never knows what he is talking about, he is always making generalization about the knicks that are way off

Anthony seems the most put together out of the three, i would rather listen to Jax on MSG with Marv than our guys

I actually think Lee would make a better scout or GM as opposed to coach. He's always talking about players talents and stuff.

i dunno... just his presence, his articulation in interviews, the way he seems to understand the game & his high basketball IQ... he seems like a guy who would be a prime candidate to make a good head coach someday to me.
