Frye is a player, but he needs to be on a team where he can be the focal point of the offense. You bulk this guy up 15 pounds and tell him to go play center for 35 minutes a game and i think he would be successful. He is just not working out as a PF because he is too slow and the guards continue to refuse to give him the ball on the block. So he is reduced to jumpshooting and seems to have lost his confidence doing even that.
I mostly agree with this. I don't think he needs to be the focal point of an offense though to be successful. He just needs to play with someone besides a player like Curry who demands the ball so much. His ppg would be around 14 playing with Curry if you extend his minutes to 35 mpg. If you take Curry out of the situation he would get more touches, and more points, and I think he would start shooting and passing in the right situations. Part of his bad decision making is a function of his confidence not being as high as it could be. The guy has to know that his time is limited with this team, with Curry as the center.
