It will make us better on defense, less TO/bad shots.. thus a better team

I think its tough to say. Jamal is a player that we have not been without for a long time, we are pretty much a whole different team without him. I worry about CUrry getting doubled now. Marbury is going to have to score more and Q Rich/Nate/Frye are going to have to start staying after practice to work on their jumpers to keep the defense honest.

I do see us having some real trouble scoring unless we really share the ball and play the right way (which we havent seen much of)

it'll make these guys focus more on their own offensive games IMO... losing Jamal definitely hurts, but there's still a chance to sneak into the playoffs depending on how the rest of the guys respond to it... when they had all those suspensions over the brawl, the team responded well & went on a nice little run... maybe this will galvanize them again... Jamal was a big part of why they went on that run though, so it'll be interesting to see how these guys respond vs. the Celtics... i have a feeling Nate's going to step up his game & we're going to see a lot more of Balkman playing in crunchtime, so it might be a good thing from the perspective of getting those guys some much needed burn... but if we don't make the playoffs, i don't think anyone should get too upset... this team had a marginal chance to make the playoffs from the beginning of the season w/everyone healthy as it is.

There should be another option: "We're a .400 team either way"

Yeah, these options suck.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

And yet they all have better shooting percentages than JC.

even with Crawford- I didn't think we were making the playoffs-

Biggest downsize of Crawford getting hurt is now Dolan can resign Isiah Imbecile even if we miss the play offs and play poorly the rest of the way.

Upside on this- this team shouldn't rely on Crawford like it does- Crawford should be the third combo guard- if he's on fire, great.

If he is in clank mode, back to the bench.

64.5% is JAMAL CRAWFORD's shooting percentage in the last 3 minutes of a game...just heard it on the radio.

He could go 10 for 10 in the final 3 but if we still lose, who cares. Offense isn't everything.

You are searching here...we are 19-19 with JC starting...no offense or anything, that's an impressive stat (the shooting % in the final 3 mins). His passing, ball handling and clutch play will be sorely missed. I am almost certain that many people who think that JC can be just replaced will realize his trememndous value to the TEAM, not to YOU, the TEAM, will be recognized way sooner than later.

JC has started 36 games so far this year. There is no denying he can be clutch and can score when he is on, but how many of those times is he off but continues to chuck? When does he ever defend? And outside of Curry, he turns the ball over the most. Our other options over JC are better shooters over the entire game rather than just the final 3.

Yep. The poll was almost a loaded one.

if he shoots that great in the final 3 minutes- why is he allowed to shoot any other time during the game?

And conversely- take the final 3 minutes out and his shooting percentage during the first 45 mins is worse than his atrocious overall shooting?!

Well we will se Nate more and Balk more, so thats not a bad thing. Especially Balk. Nate can be useful, he is a good shooter, he just needs to keep his head on straight.

Balk is an impact player, I want him out there more.
Frye will become a more featured part of our offense too, which is a really good thing, imo.
