I'd do any of them but I see Sac doing none of them.

have to say i don't agree w/u there... i happen to think SAC would like to unload Artest if they could get back a young talent like Frye in the deal, or some cap relief & draft picks.

If they were smart they would move artest for frye and bibby for someone like childress take their lumps get a nice draft pick and rebuild around a core unit of talent......

I would do Q, Nate, and our pick this year in a heartbeat if the kings would bit, hell i would give them Collins in that deal as well

Would love to get Artest, but is he *that* much of a headache that Sac wouldn't ask for more in return? If that is the case, then why would we want him?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I don't think we'd have to worry about Artest exploding in NY.

He's from here first of all, and second, he'd be Isiah's latest pet.

Ok, why does Sac trade him then? If his attitude is that bad that it's affecting team is the only reason I can see. In that case, do we want him? I see one of two things... either Sac asks a lot because Artest is a star and they value him highly, or Sac asks for a moderate amount because they want to get rid of him because he's a cancer but want to get *something* in return. The point is do we need another cancer? I would love to have Artest, but we have to be sure that he won't be a problem. I don't see Sac giving him up cheaply if he's been a model citizen.

the thing w/Artest is that there are no guarantees that he won't be a cancer... that's part of the package when u get him... he's a ticking time bomb, & everyone knows it...

so again, that said, do u think those deals are realistic, & if so, which one would u make if you were in charge?

I would do any of the trades. Not because artest is that great, but all of them either eliminate bad contracts for us or involve so little talent that it is worth taking a risk on Artest. I, however, doubt Sac. would be interested unless Artest became a problem, in which case, we would not want him.

i think the ONLY way we could get him is if he became a problem & SAC wanted to unload him... i think there's a good chance that the Maloof Bros. could want to unload him & bring in some more wholesome players to market their team with... i don't think they look at Artest as a guy who they want to be the face of that franchise... they have an exciting young player coming up in Kevin Martin... they could use a talented young big to play alongside him... Frye could be a piece they'd be interested in... i think they'd probably rather go young & trade off some guys like SAR, Bibby & Brad Miller if they can.

obviously Frye is nowhere near as talented as Artest, but you have to weigh the potential for disaster that Artest brings w/him in evaluating any potential trade scenario... i don't think there's any team out there that would give up elite level talent for him.
