What do you *think* the Knicks' record would be if Lee had been starting and playing 38 mpg consistently throughout the season. This includes Nov when he averaged 25 mpg and the rest of the year when he was in the low 30s.

I put option 3. I don't quite think it would be option 4. I included option 1 just for Oohah and Holfresh!

I agree... I think Lee and Curry together is the best fit thought. My biggest beef about Lee starting is simply that he's earned it. Its a statistical fact that the Knicks play their best ball with him on the floor. Bottom line is he deserves to start. I'm not too hung up on the impact, just seeing the best players play.

I agree Fish. I think if we are building a core and part of that future core is Curry and Lee put them alongside each other and let them grow together. Then get a goddam-n PG that can do the same. Lee has definitely earned it and should be there. That I agree with

But those that think we would magically turn it around just because Lee gets 3 more minutes a game including some at the start I think are kidding themselves.

I think Isiah cannot do better in rasing Lee trade value that he did.
Lee contributed from the bench more that any starter on the team.
Showing consistency and discipline. Never complained about his role also...
Any coach and any club will be happy to get him... even for talent with questinable character plus some picks.
I am scared as hell with this snake plans...

a few more wins possibly, but really the main argument to support starting David Lee is for the benefit of his own development & for the longterm benefit of this franchise with him clearly being 1 of our most promising young players at this point.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

So 7 of the 9 voters thought the team would be around or above .500. Interesting, that would have probably saved Isiah's job. As far as long-term development, it would have made it much more likely for the young players to get playoff experience this year. It's not as frustrating as LB's rotations, but it's still frustrating.

I disagree.

Lee is a great 6th man to have, maybe even a starter on some teams. But how does Lee compliment Curry's weaknesses?

They have the same GLARING weakness.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

If I was building the team I would not be building around Curry or Lee. I would have gone in a different direction. But putting my personal beliefs aside I have to look at the reality of the team. The reality is that these two are our best young players. We don't have cap room or draft picks to make huge changes at this point. So we must make a decision and stick with it. Start to build around the two and see how far you go. When you do that, this is when you catch lucky breaks. This is when you draft someone that unexpectantly turns into a star. Or end up in the right place at the right time because you have sensible contracts to make a lucky trade for someone that is available. Sooner or later you have to stick to a plan if you expect to catch a break.

When you don't stick to something and go all over the place like we have, you are never going to catch a break. You are never going to be in the right place at the right time because you will never be able to recognize what that place is.

It's pretty obvious that most people think we could have won anywhere from 3 to 6 more games if he had been starting. I sight a couple of keys games, were towards the end, Rose was put in and should not of been in those games, in those key moments. Lee would have been much more effective.
I'll never trust this' team again.

It's obvious to everyone except Isiah.

When JJ starts, the Knicks aren't even considered an NBA team!

why no option for 1-2 wins?

Lee deserves to start- he's earned it- he might have helped prevent slow starts and gotten us one or two more wins.
