I had a tough time deciding between A and B but I think I'd take Granger over Josh Smith. I LOVE what Josh Smith brings to a team because he absolutely fills up the stat sheet and is a very nice defensive player. I think this team would benefit more from Grangers offensive ability and he himself is a pretty good defensive player in his own right.

it's funny, but the only trade among them that i WOULDN'T make is the one for the best player, KG, & that's only because i don't want to give up D Lee

i love what Granger brings too... he's a very smart basketball player, & would form an AWESOME tandem w/D Lee in the frontcourt around Curry imo... Smith is a shotblocking stud that would really fill our biggest need, & he's got some real superstar potential & is as athletic as any player in the NBA... he reminds me in many ways of Clyde the Glide Drexler in the way he moves on the floor & his cool mannerisms (obviously w/less developed offensive game)... Wallace & Knight would also be nice veteran additions to this team that would fill some need areas as well, & both play good defense... & Duhon's a nice young defensive minded pass first PG that we're missing right now.

tough choice... i'd have to go w/B only because of Smith's upside potential, but i'd be happy w/A, C & E also.

TMS, I'm gonna have to go for a tie between B and C. 2 young shotblockers, nice defensive players, can get their points on occasion. Sweet. Still gotto do something about Crawburynisfriesson though.

It would be a hard choice between Bynum, granger or gerald green. I said before the draft I would be happy with any of those 3 just don't draft Frye. Of course we then drafted Channing F'N Frye

too bad he had him right there for the taking in the draft much better selection than channing he is more physical, versatile and a better defender, would do the deal with indy in a heart beat, love that young core.....Indy needs to start rebuilding i think the bulls would be better served going the JO route they would give up less and it would work for indy....gordon and deng, deng and the pick would work......

they could do a few trades and open up some space

any one of those would be great except Duhon. I love him but your still stuck w/ Franbury until further notice so I dont see the point. The rest are wet dreams though

No, I would not trade frye for Ty thomas. And I wouldn't trade Frye-Plus- for any of those players. YOu trade Frye and it's strate up or with Rose thrown in for filler. If I were to trade frye it would be to get a pick in this years draft 14-10 at the very least.

hmm, i don't know... Ty Thomas hasn't shown anything so far... at least we know Channing is capable of putting up 30 pt type games... TT's upside is probably a healthy Kenyon Martin i'd estimate from the limited things i've seen of his game... probably never a real offensive threat as much as he'll be an intangibles type player who will flourish based on his athleticism first & foremost.

maybe a trade w/CHI i would do is something like:

Channing, Nate, Balkman & swap rights voided for Ty Thomas & Chris Duhon... i don't think CHI does it though... trying to get those swap rights back will be near to impossible

I think Frye is a lot like Tim Thomas. Only Tim Thomas can do more things and create his own shot. Frye is just taller so he blocks a couple more shots here and there

TMS- these are some good choices. Unfortunately for us, Fryes stock, I think has stumbled a bit and those are trades that we probably could have pulled off last yr.

With that said, A, B, C would all be good additions. Josh Smith and Gerald Wallace add the defensive intangibles we need (shot blocking, steals,) are extremely athletic, can finish, and have potential to grow offensively. Granger is pretty good defensively as well, not as good as the other two but is a little better offensively and has more range on his shot. Granger probably fits what this team needs (considering Curry is our first option) and we need shooters to open up the lane for him. So I'd go with Granger.

I would just keep Frye and let him develop, that way we don't have to deal with 1,000,000 threads next year about how Frye is flourishing elsewhere while we are stuck with some injured guy----just like we are with Ariza/Francis this year.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

develop where? So long as Eddy stays out of foul trouble Frye isnt getting touches in the post. We are developing him to be a great international player. A 7 footer with a long jumper. Awesome. And Frye doesnt DESERVE any playing time at PF where Lee has established himself as our best frontcourt player.

where does he fit? Maybe we just keep him around in case Eddy has a heart attack?

I choose D, because I think KG & Curry is dominant.

C-Curry
PF-Garnett
SF-QRich
SG-Crawford
PG-Marbury

Bench:
C-James
C-Cato
SF-Jeffries
SF/SG-Balkman
SG-Jaric
PG-Collins

I would have to be looking to sign a PF off the bench, because we're too thin there, but past that, it's a nice team. I think it's actually overpaying for Garnett (I'd try to at least pull the Chi pick from the deal), but I'd still have to do it.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

You have to get the unprotected pick for the trade to be worthwhile. However, I don't think the Wolves would give up an unprotected pick just to get rid of KG, especially when they're not getting a big star in return.
