Kenny was the better collegiate player, by alot, but was a journeyman in the league. I watched him very closely in NJ with Drazen Petrovic (I loved that guy, he had such an unusual game and no one has since duplicated it), and he was good, but had no jumper and was very skinny and weak. But they had a really good team. K.A. as we called him on my block, was one of my favorite players in the league, but in terms of being a PG in the NBA, its not close, Steph is the much more complete player

Kenny A. was outstanding in his first few years. He was never the same player after he got fouled by Starks and hurt his wrist.

Kenny was a pure PG, but didn't have the body to withstand the punishment of the NBA schedule. Marbury's had the better career, Kenny had the better passing skills and college career.

Marbury... he had superstar potential when he came out.

Kenny was the more polished PG, but didn't have Steph's athleticism & physical tools.

Kenny ain't got no shoe!

Bassy got shoe, Shoebury got shoe, pearl washington no shoe, and Kenny was without shoe.

On my block we called him "shoeless Kenene!"

Mark Price was pretty good out of GT! He ain't got shoe, but he was a better pro then both I think in that he had a high impact at his position. At Clevelend, he was outstanding!

I can't believe I'm saying this....Kenny had a much better head on his shoulders. Oh, my GOD that is so sad!

shouldn't mark price be on that list also? i think he is a better all-around point guard than anderson and marbury.

I guess in this alternate universe where Steve Nash is MVP twice in a row you could say that. But I think you guys are crazy.

I was a big K.A fan. He was the first player that hade me hyped to go see a High school game when he ws at Molloy. Isiah was my idol growing up, but when I saw K.A, I switched my jersey # from 11 to 12.

Kenny was more of a purer pg, better passer and saw the floor really well. One of the best passers I ever seen at the collegiate level. But as someone said, he didn't have the body to maintain the rigors of the physical NBA. Marbury is a better scorer and was/is more physically gifted than K.A.

Damn, this thread borught back memories. Im gonna go dig in my boxes and pull out some old tapes GTech games. Especially that Gtech/LSU game when Kenny lit Chris Jackson up. (although Jackson looked physically sick in the game)
"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

Marbury has certainly scored more, but Price played the game much differently, and I prefer the way he played by a good margin. Price was no scoring slouch. I think if Price had been a scoring oriented player rather than considering himself the last option, he could have easily had a few 20 PPG seasons. Price was also a much more efficient player, doing just about everything at a higher percentage.

I'll give you scoring, but you have to admit Price was pretty damn good, no Killa?

Price stats before he was 30 and injury cooked him Avged 16.33 pts and 8.2 assists.

His FORTY SEVEN PLAYOFF GAME AVERAGE was 17.4 and seven. He steps up in the playoffs.

His best season he was 19.6 and 9.1 at age 25. then the injury bug bit him.

Marbury has played in 18 games in the same time frame and avged 19.4 and 6.7. His numbers dip in the playoffs.

ALso Price was a 4 time allstar. Marbury has been twice.

Statistically, Marbury has better numbers, but Price is not shabby and has more acomplishment.

marbury has made a ton more money.

Both are successful in the game of life.

Price was excellent. He was a more effective overall PG in the NBA than Marbury.
