I know this question has been asked acouple of times already, but I'm not really clear on what the forum thinks. I know some guys are pessimistic and some are optomistic, but how many wins do you think the Knicks will get this season? Does the number you're predicting represent a major improvement over recent years or more of the same? Or do you view this as a rebuilding season? The Knicks will win:

This is not a rebuilding season. It can NOT be a rebuilding season when the two main players on the roster are both 30 year old combo guards who are making over 15mill per season.

With that said, I originally predicted 37 wins for this team. I've now lowered my expectations to 31 wins.

I don't see the Knicks getting over .500. I'm arbitrarily predicting 33 wins (I chose 30 to 40). Objectively that is a significant improvement over last year, but I still think this team needs major changes in order to progress.

However, I think it could be viewed as a rebuilding phase in spite of Marbury and Francis. We have more young players on the team than we've had in quite some time. Also Curry is starting to play better, which is a hopeful sign (for the future).
https:// It's not so hard.

I still think its pretty tough to rebuild when you have no players to rebuild around. Curry, Lee, Nate, Frye, are all young players and have some good qualities but you cant focus your rebuilding efforts around any of them because they all have significant deficiencies.

All this combined with the record at the end of the year and I think this is a complete WASTE of a year for the Knicks and for their fans.

I think you can build around those guys, and add in Q Rich and Craw. The problem is it's tough to rebuild when you give up consecutive lottery picks.

i think it's not about the amount of wins they'll accumulate but if they'll make the playoffs. Even if they win 43 games this yr, that might not be enough to make the playoffs.

The east is no longer considered the least.

Many teams have improved and there are only 8 spots available..

Low 30's seems right to me too. Seeing the kind of defense this team plays, I'm wondering if even that is optimistic.
